4a makes this noise go away because it keeps the front hubs locked. Weak vacuum pressure is what prevents the front hub from disengaging in 2h and this incomplete disengagement is what causes the grinding noise. 4a adjusts torque using clutch plates in the transmission and leaves the front hubs...
You can tell if the vacuum line is your problem if the noise disappears when using 4a. And if that is the case, leave it in 4a until you can fix the vacuum line to prevent damaging other components.
Sorry to break this to you, but you bought your Gen1 at the top of the market. Prices have been tumbling ever since as Gen1 owners upgrade to Gen2 and the old trucks are piling up on dealer lots.
I have no doubt you can point to countless $40k listings, but all you are doing is showing me...
Hell of a lot of value for $50 something thousand. A lot of the upgrades are convenient, but don't do anything to improve the truck's capability. Folding mirrors are nice, as are bed lights and radar cruise, but they are not what makes a Raptor a Raptor. Will probably also see much better resale...
Half of the two hundred 2013s on Autotrader are listed for $35k or less.
After factoring in a 10% discount between asking price and what the seller is willing to take, I'd say a good condition '13 priced-to-sell could be had for around $30k.
You'd need to find an incredibly gullible buyer to...
When the truck is hunting for gears, put it in tow mode and it will hold the lower gears and won't upshift as easily. I do this all the time when driving through the mountains.
The 17" rims really limit the brake options. Upsizing to 20" rims will give you a lot more room to work with and many people who upgraded have gotten that firm feeling they are looking for. There are several vendors on this site that can set you up.
And what can you sell your truck for right now? 2017s private party in the right part of the country are selling for more than $60k. I'm still miles ahead of you in terms of equity vs money spent. I've seen Gen1 selling for the low teens. Not holding their value so well anymore.
Ford Performance has plenty of experience making "crisp" brakes and easily could have done that if that is what was best for offroad use.
In offroad applications, "mushy" provides greater modulation and control in low grip situations where a driver is limited to 10 or 20% of the braking force...
You think 31 is bad, dealer by me has 78!!!
But that's the way he does things. In early 2017 he had 50 on the lot when Raptors were really hard to come by. He buys them off other dealers across the country and marks them up.
Seems to be working for him because he keeps doing it. Had 50 2018s...
Wow, that's not how patents work at all. So much ignorance in a single post. As they say, a little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing. You should read up on patents before you pretend to know what you are talking about.
Given all the upgrades to the Raptor elsewhere, I don't think they would cheap out to save a few bucks on the leafsprings. My guess is Ford didn't want to compromise payload and towing any more than they already did. As posted by a vendor above, standard Deavers sag more when towing and HD...
My world is just fine. The real questions is what is wrong with yours? There is something seriously messed up in your head to spend years of your life trying to push your warped view of the world on other people. Thousands of hours of effort and you haven't convinced anyone. When will you...
Your new handle doesn't fool anyone. You are still the same pathological liar and obsessive looser you were when you got banned last time. And the time before that. And the time before that......
Sasquatch, the kiddie Raptor your mom bought you from Walmart doesn't count. The op is talking about a real Raptor, something you don't know anything about. Maybe you if work real hard and save up your money, you can afford one someday.
Hmmmm, a brand new profile, nearly 60 posts already, and almost all of them criticizing the Ecoboost engine. Don't need to be Sherlock Holmes to figure this one out.
Wonder how long it will take before you get banned for what, the fifth time? Sixth? I have a hard time keeping track because it...
Don't fall for this guy's shit. He's been trolling this site for years and has been banned under countless aliases. His first handle was Sasquatch77 and is what most of us still refer to him as. He's a pathological liar and is obsessed with bashing the Ecoboost. If he spent half as much time...
If you are going to criticize me, at least get your story straight. I said Ford wouldn't make a V8 Raptor. Separately I said FCA was too poor to do anything more than hellcat-ify the Ram by slapping on a blower and adding flared fenders and a lift kit.
So far I haven't been proven wrong in...
No, I said it would be a lifted brodozer with a supercharger, some bolted on accessories, and a body kit. Which is pretty much what FCA is giving us, a hellcat with a pickup bed. BTW, thanks for reminding me why I blocked your posts last year. I apologize for forgetting not to engage you.
Okay, since you are so fluent in Apple rumors, tell me what this year's phone will be like? Will it be a similar design? An all-new design? Square edges like the new iPad? Will they offer an SE sized phone this year? Will they stick with two OLED phones and one lower cost LCD this year, or do...
You couldn't be more wrong about Apple. Jobs was ruthless toward anyone caught leaking, suppliers and employees alike. Not only would you get yourself fired, you'd get your ass sued off too.
Jobs was the master of startling the audience with unexpected surprises and is what made Apple launches...
