    2020... any hints?

In 2017, only 3% of Raptors built were silver. It was the least popular color. Next was Ruby at 5%. On the other side of the scale, 30% were black.

Value of our raptors after v8 debut

Your buddy will beat you to the 1000' marker, but after one lap around the circuit, his Tesla will overheat and go into limp mode. There is a video of Nisan Leaf trouncing a Model S on the track because the Tesla goes into limp mode when driven hard. As for an electric truck driven offroad, it...

    2020... any hints?

Seems the V8 upgrade was such a huge secret that Ford forgot to announce it. Or maybe, there is nothing worth announcing. Will find out soon enough.

But drilling a weep hole should have fixed that right? As usual, thanks for the useful feedback Sasquatch.

I want to love my new truck, but still havent "connected" with it.

Common tells most people looking for refinement in a $75k vehicle to buy a base model luxury vehicle, not a suped-up work truck. Entry level X5 starts at $60k. You should check it out. Sounds like your kind of vehicle.

    2020/2021 Raptor to get the GT500’s V8?

You mean just like how the Charger is eating the Mustang's lunch? LOL. The one who is going to have a problem competing is Ram. Putting a blower and lift kit on a truck doesn't make it a capable off-road truck. As for Jeep, you cannot buy a slower, louder, poorer handling, and more unreliable...

Value of our raptors after v8 debut

Airplane engines operate at 70 to 80% max power in cruise flight for hours at a time. Automobile engines can only operate at 30% continuously or else they start overheating and suffering from premature failure.

    2020/2021 Raptor to get the GT500’s V8?

Do people on this forum really think the Hellcat put a huge dent in Porche's sales just because the Hellcat has more horsepower? Even if the TRX has a V8 with more horsepower, the Raptor will still be the king of offroad trucks. I have little doubt the TRX will offroad as well as the Hellcat...

    2020/2021 Raptor to get the GT500’s V8?

Ford sells more V6 trucks than anyone else sells trucks. More than 70% of F-150's come with a V6. Ford is definitely not worried about the V8-or-die crowd.

    GEN 2 Worth fixing ?

One thing to consider is taking it to a body shop might show on a carfax and affect resale. As for the person saying a "ceramic coating" could protect against impact damage, clearly, you don't understand that "ceramic coating" is just a fancy term for an expensive wax job.

Value of our raptors after v8 debut

You mean like an intercooler? You're right, no one would ever be so dumb as to put an intercooler on a supercharger. Oh, wait...... BTW, a bit of trivia for you, do you know what is the most reliable engine ever made? No, silly goose, it's not a V8, not even close. It just so happens to be an...

Value of our raptors after v8 debut

Seems I have to explain it like I'm talking to a 5th grader. The V8 SC Raptor and the $15,000 price came from the very same source. Believe them both, or doubt them both, but you cannot believe one without the other.

    Ford authority/new motor

If a dealer only gets one or two allocations, there are two ways it plays out. Either he sells it to the person willing to pay the highest ADM, or he sells it for MSRP to his very best friend or customer (or he keeps it for himself.)

Value of our raptors after v8 debut

Nope, it came from the article that started these rumors. If you read the articles instead of just the headlines, you'd know it too.

Sasquatch, is this your new account?

    Ford authority/new motor

Mustang forums claim the GT500 will be a very small run with many dealers only getting one allocation and others not getting any. If they do the same with a SC V8 Raptor, expect to see $40-50k ADMs. Dealers will try to squeeze every dollar they can get out of their one or two allocations.

Value of our raptors after v8 debut

Back to the original topic, pricing on the GT500 just came out. Base price in the $70s. After destination and gas guzzler, a stripped GT500 will be more than $80k. Add in some options and the MSRP clears $100k. And that is for a Mustang. No doubt the SC Raptor will be even more expensive. Will a...

    GEN 2 5.2 Supercharged GT 500 - just released 760 hp

And I thought the Raptor's stickers were insanely overpriced. $10k for racing stripes??? LOL

Value of our raptors after v8 debut

Rumor is the SC V8 will be a $15k option. Add in the inevitable $10k to $20k ADM and you are looking at a $30k more expensive truck. At current resale prices, the 3.5EB will seem cheap and all the interest could actually boost V6 resale values since many of the people who are brought in by the...

2019 Need to knows before signing the papers

The rear can step about 1 or 2 inches when hitting a bump while going around a corner. It feels unsettling, but it is nothing to worry about. You will do far more damage than good reacting to it. Just hold the wheel steady, let off the gas a LITTLE (not all the way), and the truck will be...

    GEN 2 5.2 Supercharged GT 500 - just released 760 hp

700+ HP is unusable on dirt, so to be useful, any 700hp truck really needs to be set up for street use. If I was building a street focused Raptor: The first thing I'd do is ditch the heavy ass KO2s that cannot grip pavement for shit. Put some lightweight, wide, grippy street tires on there...

    ever sued a dealership??

IF you win, you'd most likely be awarded treble damages. So $50 x 3 = $150. If that's worth your time, go for it. I also think you would have a hard time proving they did it intentionally and they already agreed to re-do it and offered another free oil change/rotation, so it would be hard to...
