I "Mickey Moused" a tire strap tie down. I also packed my headlight/relay connectors full of dielectri grease. Something I should have done when they were first installed.
If this is covered under warranty, just have them replace it. I've had mine out and that thing is friggin heavy. I've also had mine replaced under warranty, 2 days with a rental car. I know there's a thread where some have purchased aftermarket parts to DIY it, but it just doesn't make sense...
I cut the headliner from the backside, removing the cardboard backing. Then, I cut the fabric, leaving enough material to rap it around the opening. It fits snug but I used hot glue to secure it. I did end up using a little epoxy after seeing the face plate slip out slightly one very hot July...
The fuel station icons will appear when the low fuel light comes on in the dash. They will go away once you fill up. The trigger is the same for both the low fuel light and the fuel station icons. If that makes sense.
I'm trying to rearrange the bed of my truck. My thoughts were to try and get the cooler closer to the rear, where before, you had to climb over the spare to get a beer. :crazy:
Open the NAV and tap the screen, if you see the following POI tab with a gas pump, like in the following pic, then yes the gas station POI was set. Just tap that tab and it will allow you to clear all POI icons.
I have HD Radio on my 2011, you have to have it. Can you get a pic of your NAV screen? Try tuning the radio to a station that you know broadcast in HD.
Once you hit E, they appear automatically. They should disappear once you fill up. Unless, of course, you have them on in the POI settings.
