Yea, I am all too familiar with those issues. Thought I had an OFG leak on a F15 X5, but luckily it was just the o ring on the oil filter lid. Whoever was doing the oil changes before I bought the car must have not been changing them out or it had gotten torn when they installed the cover back...
I got the same Fumoto valve and installed it after my first oil change. I almost feel like the version that has the hose nipple pointing straight outwards instead of down would work better. I ended up getting the same version that you have, but noticed that it sits a bit inwards from the skid...
Did my first oil change recently. The draining from the bolt was no problem, but I don't know how people are able to change the oil filter and minimize oil spillage. I wish more cars would do what BMW does and use a paper filter up top that can be swapped out without a single drop of oil spilling.
This may sound like a silly question, but did it improve regular driving over small bumps in the road as well? The first and only complaint I have ever gotten is that the truck is fairly bumpy/jittery over small bumps in the road for regular every day driving. Always thought it was interesting...
How many seams did they do on your door handles?
These trucks are so much easier to do now that the front headlight trim is gone from what the Gen 2s had.
Seems like a lot of people who run these on their trucks end up going to a full mid travel set up sooner or later, so it almost seems like an unnecessary step/cost haha.
I think the Gen 2 exterior looks more aggressive. The rear applique on the Gen 2 is way more aggressive than the straight across design on the Gen 3.
I like the blue recaro seats/interior on the Gen 2, but on the Gen 3, they kind of went overboard with how much blue they put in there. It's...
Never noticed their bed cages before, but it does look pretty clean and less intrusive as far as minimizing how much bed space is taken up from the cage. I think RPG's bed cage is somewhat similar in that it doesn't take up as much space in the bed.
I am kind of surprised almost all of the diecast out there for the Raptor is of SCABs and not so many SCREWS. I guess the SCABS look sportier, so they went with that version.
Regardless of who you choose, you should always find someone that you can trust working on your car. A skilled installer probably does free hand cuts on cars all of the time. The proper way of cutting a film on a car uses basically just the weight of the blade to make a etched line on the...
I do vehicle wraps/clear bra installs. For those who are willing to put the time into it, you can actually modify some precut files to add enough material around the edges to be able to wrap around them.
Personally, I do everything freehand and custom fit it to the vehicles that are being wrapped.
Anyone else have this mount? Tried installing one today and it doesn't seem like I'd be able to replicate the same results anywhere close to the pictures they have posted on their site. Not sure if there was a change in the design of the switch between models/years, but you can see from the...
For those who use their trucks, did you feel a need to upgrade the factory skid plates? It seems like most aftermarket skid plates offer almost essentially the same amount of coverage that the factory ones do. I am considering aftermarket skid plates as a preventative thing, but still a bit on...
Wish there wasn't a time limit on how long I could edit the original post, so unfortunately I won't be able to keep updating it as people add new deals in.
Most likely you'll just have to put the stock intake on to pass the visual inspection during smog. Then i think you will have to get the truck weighed in to have that info for the DMV when you go to register it in California.
I am with you on this. I personally don't care about a V8 if a V6 hybrid can make just as much or more power and also get better MPG. Sure, V8 sounds cool, but it's not a big deal or factor to me these days.
Can we start compiling a list of Black Friday deals for Raptor parts or related items? I know the trend seems to be to start having sales earlier and earlier this year. Post up whatever deals you guys know of as they become active.
4x4truckLEDs (starts on 11/23?)...
I have seen the LED light bars that people have been able to fit behind the grills.
However, I was wondering if anyone has tried fitting aux lights behind the grill, like the baja design squadron lights.
