Heated, like most cars probably, are done with a heated element. Cooled, is just a fan that blows ambient air through the seat and not temperature controlled
In my experience, you're mostly going to come across brokers out there. Each broker uses the same program to put in a bid for a company to pick up your vehicle to be delivered. Sure, there are companies out there who are privately ran and will pick up your cars personally, but those are...
I thought they had a revised version of the torque arm that doesn't have that issue with the dust cover being destroyed anymore?
Did the sway bar not fit with the torque arm anymore either?
I did notice recently how weak the G2 headlights were and am kinda surprised no one has opened up one of these headlights to do a projector retrofit yet. The aftermarket stuff seems ok, but it has enough glitchy issues that it's not something I want to bother with, especially at their prices.
Thanks for the info. I've had AWD cars in the past, so I never really had to think about all of the different options and additional settings that the Raptor has. I had seen a lot of people mention putting the Raptor in snow mode, but I always thought I'd prefer a consistent/similar gas pedal...
Cool. Good to know. I suppose it may rub on the fender liner area that usually gets trimmed when running 0 offset wheels.
Does anyone also know if you can run a 35x12.5" tire chain on the stock 315/70 tires or are they different enough that you shouldn't use them interchangably?
When using the fine tuning modes, are those a master setting that is applied to all of the preset modes (trail, street, desert) or does it tune the suspension for just that specific preset mode that you currently have selected?
I like how you can tune things on the fly with your controller, but...
What brand or where are you guys getting your chains? Do you think an aftermarket 0 offset wheel in the front would be able to clear chains without clearance issues or would you most likely need to be slightly lifted to make it work as well
Thanks for the info. So it's not even that they can see the key count reset or whatever it is, but they can tell that the PCM had been tuned/changed at some point? I guess there's not much getting around that then. However, I also assume that if an engineer is getting called out and checking...
If there is an engine related warranty issue, how big of a deal would a dealer make about the key cycles resetting back to 0 or something like that when reflashing back to stock from a tune? It seems like that's usually the main thing people mention in regards to warranty and aftermarket tunes.
I kinda want to make the jump to E85. I have a pump close enough to me that it's not inconvenient to go there every time to get E85. However, I don't really like the idea of having to switch the HPFP every time if I needed to go back to 91 for longer road trips.
It sounds like I definitely...
Beadlock wheels have been a non-issue for me thus far. I have only checked it twice in the first month I had them put on, since I wanted to be extra careful. However, I think it's easy enough to monitor the tire pressures from the dash to see if there was any slow leak, which would kind of...
Depends how much you can get for your Gen 2 and how much the particular Gen 3 truck you are looking at is. Some people always leave out the registration/tax fees when calculating the switch from a Gen 2 to a 3.
I know it can vary is some states, since you can get a tax break if you trade in...
Even if they do physically fit, I wonder how compatible the extra electronics/tuning on the Gen 3 shocks would be able to work on a Gen 2.
I personally never really had much issues with the rear end feeling too light over bumps on the freeway, etc on my Gen 2
I think there's a mod out there that someone sells which gets installed behind the door handle/panel to prevent them from knocking the lock cylinder out from the outside. Is that how they broke into your truck or did they physically just turned the door lock cylinder somehow?
Averaging 75-85mph going from norcal to socal, I averaged maybe 17.5-18mpg. If I keep it around 70mph, I can get around 19mpg. I am on aftermarket bead lock wheels and have a few extra hundred lbs over stock.
When buying my Gen 2, I got close enough to a few deals where I was ready to pay for the truck and then the next time I talked to the dealership, they wanted more money than we had agreed upon. I think I even had one dealer agree to the price and then when they sent me the paperwork, the price...
I never buy warranty on anything, but the warranty from Ford is relatively cheap imo. Only thing I wish the warranty covered were rebuilding the shocks as well. That would have been a nice perk. Since the cam phasers are almost guaranteed to go out, just having that replaced once out of...
