It’s something like that, here’s an excerpt from the bronco forum
“The Tear Tag is the catch code or strategy for your PCM when it’s flashed and usually signals the near completion, if not completion..”
Here’s a technical link about it and other programming...
Again I could be and I am probably wrong, but a lot of guys have said that nothing populates in the PCM section, even after they’ve taken delivery and driven it for a bit.
I’m biased but hoping the tear tag is the last step, who knows!
Hot damn, BCE modules updated yesterday and today I have a tear tag #….from what I’ve read, this is the final step (emissions checks, headlight alignment, etc.) before it is released for shipment.
OK got it so mine got stamped 8/16/22 with a blend of today. Will check modules tomorrow and see if there's anything live. I didn't do anything beyond 801a so hopefully it's not going anywhere else except out the door!
wtf is the 'blend' date anyway? makes sense that it would be 'blending' the chassis with the body but I've also heard that's when the truck starts rolling down the line.
No to all. I'm 801a and that's it. Went without the following as my dealer said it would delay it:
-beadlock wheel upgrade
-pro power
-CF
-bedliner
-pano roof (I didn't want this anyway)
Yeah and even then it's not a ton.
When my truck ships (hopefully in the next week or two) I'm ordering the SE in the smooth black. Really excited to have lockable storage on the truck.
yeah that screenshot is from the Ford tracker, no window sticker, scheduled for 8/22 week but says 'in production'. Who knows, waiting to hear back from sales manager.
