The rear seat of the scab doesn't have the folding rear seat like the screw so we don't have the cool release pull cable things, all we can do is sand down the plastic clip a little bit to make it easier to disengage from the floor bracket
Honestly at this point I would believe anything, it was hard to tell from OP what they meant when they asked about hp loss if it was just from it being there idling on the front of the motor or during use for whatever.
The additional drag an alternator puts out is effectively equivalent to converting it's output in watts to horsepower, to say that alternators have effectively no drag is not exactly correct since the load it puts on the engine changes depending on it's output at the time. The 2022 is rated at...
I ordered a couple things from that website and never ran into any issues but I purchased scratch/dent/open box items since they sell them at a discount. Everything shipped on time, no issues with packaging or anything.
That reads like a short or a failing key barrel to keep the motor on after the key had been turned off. What year is the truck? I'm assuming it's a gen 1 but I can't tell. Definitely recommend saying hi in the New Member Forum (don't forget to post pictures of the Prius). I defer to...
The tape that covers the holes in the body behind the rockers tends to get old and fall off, most on the forum use gorilla tape to re-do that to minimize water and gunk intrusion to fend off rust. I used flex-tape and it's holding up really well. Congratulations on winning the truck it's...
I actually think it will be remembered specifically because of the fact that it was the motor for the Gen 1 not to mention that it is the pinnacle of what the Ford Modular line up would end up being. I still think since it is a fleet motor that handles forced induction well (overall with few...
Let's be real here, the (+) at the end of the 10 is a typo or hopeful thinking at best. If I drive the way the truck deserves that MF is showin me 8's or 9's (numbers only good for quarter mile times).
Gen Juan loses the power to weight ratio in most circumstances so we don't tend to out run...
Glad they found at least some issue and it's not just gremlins that no one can actually point at. Good luck with the fix and I hope it doesn't end up being for nothing. I spent over a year chasing electrical issues with an 05 f150 that ended up being broken solder joints on the gauge cluster...
Out of curiosity what do your ground straps and chassis ground points look like? have they been cleaned/replaced recently? I had an issue like this on my truck and it was a failing ground strap from the block to the bulkhead.
I'm in the same boat, I have the bfg ko2's and the tread is getting low but I can't decide if I want to do the same tire again or change brands. I also don't want to spend $2k on tires right now but it doesn't feel like I have a choice.
Pricing aside I did an Audiocontrol D4.800 for the doors and signal processing, LC1.800 for the Sub, DD audio LE-S06D which is a 6.5" sub, 500w RMS. I love the way my truck sounds and I have it integrated with SYNC 1.0 (which doesn't do much). I did the install myself and I want to put a...
As far as the equipment is concerned I think that's a solid setup and would sound good. Door speakers can easily be updated later so I think that plan is good but if you don't want it to cost quite as much you could look in to a different multi-channel amp for the speakers and a separate audio...
New vehicles sold will have a CARB compliance sticker or say "not for sale in the state of California." The sticker is normally under the hood IIRC, hope this helps.
From driving from sea level to elevation in my 2010 whipple I never ran into any codes while in the springs or going over independence pass so I would personally check codes.
Welcome to the place, you should definitely post some photos of your truck so we know what we're looking at here!
As far as the 40-50 mph shake, I had an issue like that with my 11th gen f150 and it ended up being the driveshaft binding under acceleration in the transfer case output shaft. I...
I think you guys are missing the point, it doesn't sound like he's looking for an anti-lag turbo tuner sound, it seems like he's looking for the open header big block exhaust popping of old that they tune for in the mustang ford performance exhaust system etc.
With stock manifolds and catalytic converters it is highly unlikely that you are going to get it to pop under decel, it isn't going to be free flowing enough to cause it.
I have the @svc Smurf on the front and Baja V2 on the rear of my truck and I love them. Excellent build quality and I think they're the best looking on the market.
What would you like to know? I have the stage 2 from whipple on my 6.2. I don't know what exactly this guy's truck is running but it looks like the larger pulley and the smaller throttle body from mine.
