So- I have an allocation for the 2nd Raptor R that would be given to my local dealer. They have 6 Ford dealerships so I imagine their chances of getting two allocations is better than most.
I’ve seen a lot of people already saying they’ve placed an order and made style / paint choices, etc...
I’ll respond back soon. Heading from Park City over to Tahoe for a week, so will be monitoring it. I’m thinking of keeping it stock until back out of the mountain regions as to not trip the sensor when under load.
Literally was just in Wyoming, stage 2 tune from Cobb, laid into it hard around 80 mph uphill and triggered the same MAP sensor and limp mode. Uninstalled and everything seems to be running fine. First time this has happened to me and it’s been tuned for 30k miles.
I’ve had a deposit on a R since August of 2021 with my dealership. Definitely going to try to f-me with the ADM I’m sure, but figured might as well complete the build when allocation is granted and see how bad the pricing truly gets.
Thoughts from others where they think they see the R priced...
Can you reference this spring fix for the wastegate? I think I have a pretty consistent wastegate rattle - it’s been this way for 20k miles and hasn’t impacted drivability, just irritating to hear when you drive through narrow alleyways where the echo can be heard.
Right- invoice to the dealer isn’t any different regardless. It’s the greed of the dealerships and salespeople, which directly reflects on how they are as a vendor when you have issues. They’re your “friends”…..right.
I will say I have had my accessport tuned on my raptor since almost day 1 of ownership (brand new). I’m around 35k miles currently and it does a world of difference, especially with the TCM tune assisting with the shifts. I need to apply the @GooseTuned maps, as I keep telling myself I will but...
I have the Mx4 as well. I like it, super sleek and flush and locks up with the tailgate. It keeps the water out during storms. I do however agree the quality isn’t the absolute best with the seals, especially with use over time - but I think if it truly starts to go you can always get a thin...
Will give a call definitely.
Does anyone know how much OEM live valve shocks can be resold for (pre-refurb)? Just trying to gauge potential resale value (knowing good quality and not beat or heavily used).
Hey all-
Interested what others have done for suspension replacement around 50k miles with the stock Fox shocks. I have a 2020 Gen 2 and interested in options that are worthwhile taking into consideration pricing for it.
What have others paid to have them redone? Has anyone found a good...
July 3-20
no doubt. Trying to make our way to glacier as quick as possible. Have a cabin in Tahoe for 8 days mid-trip. Looking for good short / medium length hikes that the dogs can go on between glacier and Tahoe.
Good advice! I used to have a cabin in Mi Wuk Village off the Sonora Pass so used to the drive around there.
Good looks on SD44. Our route shows us going through ND instead of SD. Initially we were hitting Yellowstone but with recent rain / road closures likely skipping and going direct up to...
Thanks all for the input. Hedging towards taking the truck. I also heard Route 12 through Idaho is a nice drive. Any other recommended side roads in the west / mid west worth exploring? Heading from glacier National park to bend, Oregon and then down to tahoe / yosemite. Anything there would be...
So - I have a long cross country road trip coming up. I’ve booked a rental in case I decide to not put a bunch of miles on my Gen 2, but curious as to others opinions.
The trip is going from Philadelphia to Yellowstone (assuming floods don’t keep it closed) up to Glacier National Park, into...
Are you following up with them about the noise?
I’d be curious what they say. I’m going to reflash my transmission / ECU and see if it makes any difference, however by the sound of it I’m not sure it’s related to that.
I recently have been hearing a thud / clunk when coming to a complete stop. I initially thought it was the transmission shifting harshly, but it has mad the noise even when in 1st gear without needing to shift down. It’s not every time I stop, but often and very light but I can feel / hear it...
