Have you used these filters? Ford’s FL-820s has a different drain back valve where I’ve heard the startup noise can be an issues with the K&Ns I’ve only ever used Fl-820s Thoughts

Even with alignments I still get cupping. It’s the life of the raptor. I rotate every 6,000-8,000 At 25,000 miles I flip the tires completely and now the cupped side is outside. That way thr cupping doesn’t affect the life of the tire. Done this on my last 2 sets of BFG KOs. Works wonderfully!

For what it’s worth (similar set up for Gen 1) Gen 1 I always just remove the skid plate because I hate messes. Takes extra 5 minutes and then when new filter is placed and oil filled up you can check for leaks before you put the skid plate back. I use the aluminum foil trick for my 03 Cobra.

rust could be an issue with where it’s been it’s entire life I would drive 3,000 miles just to make sure a 30k purchase is represented what it seems to be. Go check it out
