One more question about the coil packs, I have a 2012, with 160k and no service history when I got it at 113k. I replaced the lower plugs and wires when redoing the CV axles and suspension, should I also spring for the coils as well, or just replace the boots? I am assuming the coils are original.
Well, I was driving the wife and little guy home from the zoo yesterday and got rear ended by a small white Nissan something or other. Smashed up his front end, and I have a kind of ugly rear bumper now.
At the moment it looks like an empty wheel well. It’s a bit after dark so it’s not a good picture. I’ll try to do the rest of the plugs tomorrow, I got the back bottom drivers side. I have no idea how many miles on them, I got the truck with 113,000 miles on it and it’s about at 160,000 now.
I started taking apart the front to replace the CV axles, upper control arms, brake pads and rotors and doing the spark plugs while the wheel well is empty. Everything was going great until I found out that they gave me the wrong CVs and I have to wait until Monday to get the new ones.
