Make sure to go in advanced menu and make sure its not calculating for towing. You can also fill up and disconnect battery. It will clear it up and start a new average based on your driving characteristics.
I myself would rather wait for the market to settle if it does ever and let the technology mature a little bit. Let them work some of the bugs out. I have a feeling we will see a lot of these on the lot when the "R" comes out. Without a doubt the G1,G2 and G3 are all excellent in their own right.
UPDATE: Shop that I had install mine, went through everything and even cleaned them. They applied grease in between the leaf's and around the eyelid area. Owner of the shop runs a Karli Suspension on his new F250 with Deaver's and he has noises as well. His have gone away. He didn't charge me a...
I have the same issue, mine is going in tomorrow where I had them installed. After reading this it looks like there's no fix. It bothers me to the point of going back to stock or maybe trying Deaver Leafs. Anyone ever get this resolved?
I've tried Fluid Film and washing. My c clamps were loose...
Got yourself a nice one there. If I was in the market for Gen 1, I'd want to be in that shape. Stock and unmolested, then put my touches on it.
Welcome and say good buy to your savings!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Most of your mods are right along with mine with the exception of the tune. My CAI is more for aesthetics, but is made by Roush and I went with that because it was CARB legal and the dealer sells it.
My tune has been flawless and I'll admit your concerns ran...
Same here, the noises came after I started taking it to the desert. Cleaned them really well recently and it helped. I have an appointment this month, shop owner is very reputable and will be taking a look for me. Goosetune has been great for me as well. I made some changes to my wiring for my...
I have some of that stuff already. I'll try it, but first I have the shop that installed taking a look on the 14th. Going to make sure nothing has come loose and checking the bushings.
I'm telling you driving a completely stock Raptor (father in laws) and his felt new still. Where mine feels like it's been through some trails. Which it has. I did get it to enjoy it, but it's still fairly new and I like to take care of my vehicles. I should've just left it stock (suspension)...
The more research I do, the more common I've heard it is with these leaf springs. Even stock ones. I had a co worker drive my truck slowly while I watched the rear and listened for sounds. We're both 98% percent it's coming from the leaf springs. Around the eye lid area where it mounts to frame...
I hear you on that, noises annoy the crap out of me. I can't even listen to a podcast while driving otherwise the background clunk reminds me that something is not right back there. I just spent an hour under the truck looking for loose bolts. I even checked my BAKflip and snugged those side...
