I've always read that you should run hydraulic bumps with Deavers, but I think SDHQ makes a bump stop relocation bracket for them if you want to keep the cost down. I think you'll need extended brake lines to go with that extra droop too. Maybe even limit straps? Not too sure on that one.

Happy to help a cause that supports one of our own. Thank you to @The Car Stereo Company for organizing this, the sponsors that graciously offered products for the raffle, and to everyone that has donated.
This is so sad. Like most of us, I never met the guy but always found joy in reading what he had to share. There were very few threads where he didn't make his presence known. He was also the first to welcome me on my New Member post. RIP to a legend. Thinking about him and his family in this...
Broke 60k. Purchased it in February with 52k.
Thinking about removing the decals from the bedsides/hood on my 2014. Anybody have experience doing this on an 8+ year old truck? Apparently the truck spent most of its life in the garage but I'm concerned there will be noticeable paint fade.
I have been averaging 15 in my 2014. As others have said, it really depends on your driving habits.
If the same person were to drive both trucks similarly, they would see an improvement of 4-5 mpg with the Gen 2.
Hard to say for sure. There is certainly more cabin noise than before but I also have mud terrains so it's kind of tough to discern between the tires and exhaust. Let's just say I did an 8 hour drive and although the noise was there, it wasn't really bothersome. The GF didn't complain either so...
Good to hear. What way did you orient your front pipe? Every photo I could find had it mounted a different way. I just oriented the offset upwards for increased ground clearance. Looking at it now it seems like the offset should be toward the passenger side for more clearance to the driveshaft.
Got my MBRP turn down installed. Easy job and sounds pretty good for $300. I'm sure it'll rust through in a few years but I'm okay with that for the price.
Thanks! The previous owner of my truck had Rigid cubes and what I assume were Rigid brackets. I ordered two sets of SS3's but had clearance issues similar to you. My brackets look very similar to the ones you ended up with. Unfortunately I didn't try that second slot before returning the lights...
I'm wondering the same. I believe all first gens came with the rear-facing mirror turn signals. The front-facing signal will piggyback off your new rear-facing signal. Therefore you won't and shouldn't have an existing wiring harness there.
Suppose it's about time I start a build thread of my own. Don't have any huge plans for the truck but will definitely be doing small upgrades along the way. This truck will mainly serve as my daily but I do plan on getting in the dirt a couple times throughout the year. Here is a list of the...
Thanks! The job is not bad at all. I did break break the clips on the original reflectors during removal but the new LEDs went in pretty easily. The rear facing turn signals were very easy. All told, it probably took me an hour but I did have to sand down the clips on the puddle lights to get...
Well this has been a toxic thread... Congrats on the new truck! Glad you were able to take it and make it your own. It may not be for everyone but as long as you're happy with it that's what counts!
Replaced the ugly orange mirror reflectors with some LED turn signals. Also replaced the rear-facing turn signals and puddle lights with new LEDs. For the cost and ease of installation I think these are a good aesthetic upgrade.
