2021 Ford F-150 Raptor order guide confirms 3.5L EcoBoost V6 as base engine

I owned a 2015 Platinum and a 2019 Limited before I bought my Raptor. I will say, that I have driven over a curb or two at the Starbucks lol.

Raptor gen 3 spotted in Chicago!!!

I thought that was the TRX. Looks close.

All-New Ford F-150 Raptor Will Debut Feb. 3

My dealer knows the same for me. I will not entertain another V6. It has to be Supercharged V8. I will say it is a good sign that Ford CEO Jim Farley liked a tweet that implied, a supercharged V8 Raptor debuting Feb 3rd.

All-New Ford F-150 Raptor Will Debut Feb. 3

Yeah, I am not sure if the twin clutch would work in the Raptor. It may need something more beefy with the Raptors weight. I have no inside info, I am speculating as much as the next guy here.

All-New Ford F-150 Raptor Will Debut Feb. 3

I know the 5.2 is not big, but much more appealing than the 3.5. If In fact it is the GT500 engine, I wonder if it will have the twin clutch from it as well. I guess next Wednesday is the day. All fingers are pointing that we do have a Supercharged V8 Raptor coming though.

All-New Ford F-150 Raptor Will Debut Feb. 3

So your dealer confirmed the Raptor R (GT500 powered)? If so that is incredible. My dealer confirmed the same. Big supercharged V8.

2021 Ford F-150 Raptor order guide confirms 3.5L EcoBoost V6 as base engine

Very true. To be fair, I have a solid guy I deal with. We also don’t know when these new Gen 3’s will be even available for order and delivery.

2021 Ford F-150 Raptor order guide confirms 3.5L EcoBoost V6 as base engine

Lets hope not. Hopefully they will give us current Raptor owners a fair shake for already buying an expensive truck from them. Especially if we buy from the same dealer.

All-New Ford F-150 Raptor Will Debut Feb. 3

Lol for sure. They were all praying that the Supercharged V8 was not coming. A bunch of closet Ram guys.

2021 Ford F-150 Raptor order guide confirms 3.5L EcoBoost V6 as base engine

I have a good guy I deal with where I bought my current Gen 2. I am flipping my Gen 2 back to him.

2021 Ford F-150 Raptor order guide confirms 3.5L EcoBoost V6 as base engine

Car and Driver is as legit as it gets. Very credible! Supercharged V8 is real! I will be buying it.

All-New Ford F-150 Raptor Will Debut Feb. 3

That is what I am thinking is going down. There will be 2 options. TT V6 and the SC V8.

I seen that image posted on Instagram. On a few different Raptor accounts.

2021 Ford F-150 Raptor order guide confirms 3.5L EcoBoost V6 as base engine

Exactly. For me, it will be an epic fail for Ford to release a so-called new GEN 3 raptor with the same 450 hp engine that has been in the truck for over five years. It is time to evolve.

2021 Ford F-150 Raptor order guide confirms 3.5L EcoBoost V6 as base engine

Just because you don’t want the option of 2 engines, that does not mean no one else does. Not everyone wants the TT V6. To say only a few will buy a GT500 powered Raptor is a cop out. I don’t know many people who will want the TT V6 in the new GEN 3. I sure don’t. If they do that it will be very...

2021 Ford F-150 Raptor order guide confirms 3.5L EcoBoost V6 as base engine

I spoke to my SVT Raptor dealer where I bought mine, and he said the same thing. There will be 2 Engine options, one being a big forced induction V8. Until there is an official release from Ford, all of this stuff is just opinions and wishful thinking. In all fairness, no one knows what the new...

2021 Ford F-150 Raptor order guide confirms 3.5L EcoBoost V6 as base engine

We can hope. If Ford tries to have a big release with the same old engine, it will be an epic fail.

2021 Ford F-150 Raptor order guide confirms 3.5L EcoBoost V6 as base engine

Well, it won’t be a very exciting release if it has the same old engine it has had for the last five years. Huge disappointment, with no option for a 700+ HP forced induction V8.
