My dealer knows the same for me. I will not entertain another V6. It has to be Supercharged V8.
I will say it is a good sign that Ford CEO Jim Farley liked a tweet that implied, a supercharged V8 Raptor debuting Feb 3rd.
Yeah, I am not sure if the twin clutch would work in the Raptor. It may need something more beefy with the Raptors weight. I have no inside info, I am speculating as much as the next guy here.
I know the 5.2 is not big, but much more appealing than the 3.5.
If In fact it is the GT500 engine, I wonder if it will have the twin clutch from it as well. I guess next Wednesday is the day. All fingers are pointing that we do have a Supercharged V8 Raptor coming though.
Lets hope not. Hopefully they will give us current Raptor owners a fair shake for already buying an expensive truck from them. Especially if we buy from the same dealer.
Exactly.
For me, it will be an epic fail for Ford to release a so-called new GEN 3 raptor with the same 450 hp engine that has been in the truck for over five years. It is time to evolve.
Just because you don’t want the option of 2 engines, that does not mean no one else does. Not everyone wants the TT V6. To say only a few will buy a GT500 powered Raptor is a cop out. I don’t know many people who will want the TT V6 in the new GEN 3. I sure don’t. If they do that it will be very...
I spoke to my SVT Raptor dealer where I bought mine, and he said the same thing. There will be 2 Engine options, one being a big forced induction V8.
Until there is an official release from Ford, all of this stuff is just opinions and wishful thinking. In all fairness, no one knows what the new...
Well, it won’t be a very exciting release if it has the same old engine it has had for the last five years. Huge disappointment, with no option for a 700+ HP forced induction V8.
