Def. understand the comment as obviously needing to look over the truck is already driving me crazy.
However if I can check a few things and avoid having to waste time at a dealer for warranty work ill do it.
that comment is in regards to loose tranny lines and anything that would warrant a tow...
With a handful of us taking delivery of our trucks and experiencing random things that the dealer didnt do or missed durning the PDI, or assembly line miss haps, I thought it might be good to start a list of items for others to check when taking delivery or first get the truck home.

Picked up my truck end of last week.
My box link cleats, trailer assist harness and plastic 7 pin to 4 pin adapter all under my back seat in sealed plastics bags.
I’m sure your dealer will take care of it
Like everyone is is stating eta’s are just about useless…
mine had a blend of 9/2, built 9/17, eta for delivery was 10/2. Randomly arrived on 9/21
jack Cooper/PAls never showed anything but pending
Ford website still says awaiting shipment
all the regular info we have access to are guesses...
Loud fan noise in the back is the power invetor fan (for the bed generator/oulet). Discussed on another thread, but turns on each time you start the truck. You can cycle through and shut it off via. a button near the headlights. Takes a minute or two before shutting off.
Few pictures attached, but the inverter under the rear (drivers side) passenger seat has a visible air duct from the fans that go to the rear corner up into a trim piece and then out the pictured vent.
Did some more digging and everything stated above seems to be correct. Just have to turn it off each time.
Appreciate the tip on the button near the headlight…I know I saw the on/off within the center screen, but dedicated button makes it a little quicker.
I wish it could be disabled from...
Just picked up my truck from the dealer tonight and drove it home in silence (no radio, no climate, windows). I immediately noticed the fan noise. Reminded me of the fan sound of the ventilated seats. Figured I may have had something on and it was late when I finally arrived home with it.

my F450’s have 8’ beds, and the diamondback hd has to weigh in close to 150lbs give or take. The front and back folding section gotta be around 75lbs each. I could lift/move them around but def. needed 2 people to lift and install. And center section was probably 15lb or so.
With the raptor...
Diamond back covers are great. Awesome quality. I have of two of their HD covers on our work 450‘s. Been on our trucks since 2012 and have held up great.
The biggest consideration to take into account with the diamond backs are if you wish to haul anything where you need open bed/above the rail...
My truck went into production yesterday, and window sticker became available today.
My truck was a dealer order, and like others have found out it shows on my window sticker that the auto stop/start was deleted Automatically.
With that being said does anyone know what happens to the button...
I’m highly considering the Tonneau covers USA “worker cover” w/t slot rails. its basically the same design as the retrax but addo a front tool box while still being a hard retractable cover AND can add in optional rails . Not cheap but checks off a ton of boxes for me.
thanks for the pictures and write up!
Assuming this truck is already spoken for ? I’m about a hour away from this dealer and was going to stop and take a look also (if they would let me)
