Yes, exactly!
I don't really have any good pics of the truck - guess I need to work on that. Been too busy goin fast! or fixing stuff lol. Today's repair - redoing the stupid intercooler mounting.
Just saw this thread. I bought a used truck with this kit & the RST 18, and have owned it for about a year now.
When things are running well, the truck is a different animal. Simply more capable, and a blast to drive. After driving a stocker, I can't imagine going back to a factory setup...
Seems like a simple clevis pin though the hitch would work. Until something broke and shot off at 200MPH. Anyone have an answer?
Also, I was reading the responses about the backup sensors and decided to try and keep them. I played around with a few designs and ended up cutting in and...
Just wasted 10 minutes of my life in this dumpster fire.
JDM is putting it's brick&mortar rep behind it's statement.
Jayrod you should post the name of your consulting business, and what shops you've consulted. That would put all the "troll" comments to bed.
Yeah $299 was the quote for my old V1. Then they throw away your old one and just send you a brand new model. Agreed, it's kind of a wash between: ebaying your old one and buy new vs. factory upgrade.
Are you talking about the "V1connection" app mentioned on the Valentine1 page, or something else? I need to get my old daily driver V1 upgraded to the new guts, and probably just buy a second one for my raptor.
Thanks for the info! indeed we'll be a few hundred miles to the west. I've been through that I-163 / Monument valley corridor but haven't done any good offroading. Area is really pretty! Someday I'll have to head up there in the raptor. Moab is pretty cool too.
What parts of S. UT did you visit? We have a trip lined up in two weeks and will doing Bryce to the end of Escalante. Should end up being about 350 miles of dirt. I'd be interested to hear your route.
Selling my RPG rear bumper and hitch. Includes hardware seen in pics. Its in nice shape with minor scratches here and there. Includes holes for backup sensors and baja designs S2 lights.
It was removed because I am working on a new rear bumper project.
Located in PHX Arizona. Could ship but...
If anyone has extra Gen 1 backup sensors laying around that they could bring with them, I could use them for a rear bumper I'm building. Shoot me a PM.
You know, I heard you can get a raptor with factory turbos now. Might be easier?
Sweet project - impressive fab. Will you keep stock internals?
You are already apart from it. ;)
We've already reached clusterfuck supernova size, but I'm sure we'll plan another run sometime soon. We need to scout that PHX --> Tucson idea. That would be a good one.
Anyone going to Overland expo next month? Always some cool stuff up there.
I don't think Ryan's planning on that, but he can say for sure. It was interesting but not groundbreaking. The road is wider and more open, so you can go faster but it's somewhat less "interesting".
Crossing the Verde is really the reason to go back there and I'd bet it's still a bit high. I...
Cool, sounds good.
There are not too many spots for 15+ trucks to pull over. The route is through pretty rugged terrain, no shoulders. It's pretty fast, lots of small jumps, loose corners, etc. Fun stuff.
That pic I posted by the river is a nice big area, requires some slow boulder...
Not for sure. Could run that trail in either direction. Does anyone have a preference?
If we run it Bloody Basin to SB to Cave Creek, we could get lunch in Carefree or Cave Creek.
Or run it the other way and get lunch at the "Famous" Pie Shop place right off the 17 in Black Canyon City...
