Hello gen3 folk,
I continue to tinker with my gen3. The latest engine mod is small but adds a nice cosmetic touch to the truck when displaying the engine.
I added a COBB coolant cover, attached are before and after photos.
install time is 10mins tops.
Good idea. I am in need of some more ponies. is there a 91 goose tune? I can probably check for myself. I am in MN, and unlike some of the southern states 93 octane is not as common.
I did not dyno before or after, so I can’t say for sure if there was an increase. I have a stage 1 91 octane tune from COBB, so I would guess I gained 10HP given that I am operating on a tune.
The sound is slightly better than stock. I hear the turbos spool up. You have to have no sound in...
just what I have posted in the threads already. I used a YouTube video from Baja designs for removing the grill. And a basic f150 forum for removing the headlight so I could get access to the wires in order to add the Y wire into the the mix.
the bar has a slight curve on both ends of the bar to give it a clean look matching the grill shape. Nothing prevents you from slapping this higher on grill or anywhere. Aside from the natural curve. This is not LED strip that is shapable it’s a firm metal giving it its shape. secondly there are...
I did get the plug and play harness as well. It allows you to tamp into one of the two raptor headlight wires by giving you a daisy chain. you unplug the headlamp wire plug in the harness kit which has a Y splitter. The result is a non splice setup that lets the grill bar turn in and is...
not as easy at it looks to install. Have to remove the grill and the two rows of the aero vents (temp) to get your fingers behind the grill in order to bolt the thing in. Also, if you get the plug and play kit, I went ahead and removed the driver side headlamp so I could get to the headlight...
Hello gen3 folk. Been on a bit of a kick adding external light mods to my Raptor. Will begin to share as I can. First up is a nice kit by Sick Diesel. It’s an amber LED bar added to grill. Completes the amber profile of the front .
I have a 21 37pp Raptor. Last year, I had this same issue in the right front wheel. I live in MN so winters and it would get wet and I could not recreate it. When summer rolled around it finally was making noises constantly enough that I drove to dealer. Tech came out jumped on the runner boards...
When you plan ahead. I added a new garage addition two years ago to my house. basically my old garage was under my second story. I made sure that I could fit a raptor (gen 2) into the garage. And the gen 3 fits. Just barely but it works :). I would have moved to make the truck fit :)….
@MNGUEST - I had tons of anxiety- but these dudes are straight shooters. Sorry for delay been traveling. No markups no games. Have my truck. I added PPF ceramic coating and interior warranty, and 15 year unlimited mile warranty to the truck. Not as part of the order. But partially after no one...
Some random pics as I work the paperwork on the truck. keeping the truck clean from folks as they paw at it. The velocity blue looks way better than I thought and even compared to F150s. 37 tires are monsters. Pictures don’t give these trucks the proper justice they deserve.
I went into dealership few days before orders and called around to ensure msrp. I ordered a 37 raptor and paid msrp. Out 1k down payment with no refund on June 16. My raptor is in transit now. And so far no funny games from dealership telling me a price change.
I checked today and Ford tracking has my truck built and is now in Shipping status! I live in MN. And I assume Dearborn is where it was build so should be a quick trip to dealership.
