I put TEN87 Design Knock Off Plates and Kilmat on the front doors. [Kilmat 80mil on the inside of the exterior panel, the interior panel, and the back side of the Knock Off Plate.]
It took a few hours to do "right", but it feels quieter. I'll be excited to see how much of a difference it...
KBB trade value for an 802A w/ 118k miles in good condition is 28-34. That's a heck of a range, but well above $25k. As the new sales market is coming to buyers, the trade-in market is sliding fast. ... so...
Dealers are always switching barrels out to see which one we will trip and fall over.
welcome! Congrats on the truck. A lot of folks are quick to bail on OEM wheels... I believe those are the forged wheels, correct? ... just an fyi... If you are going for a look or a weight spec, I get it, but already having forged wheels is a great place to start a build.
3 of them a brand new - OEM, but brand new. (1) is OG/factory with zero miles ... dealer moved the spare to the 4th position when rectifying the out-of-round tire condition that it had when I bough it.
maybe that 3 year old spare is trying to give up the ghost under load?
The truck is bone stock. OG Leafs. Tires are OEM K02.
The issue may have been there when I bought it, but was masked by:
1) an out-of-round tire... which was rectified, but the dealer couldn't balance tires, ... so then I had DT road-force the tires... which brought them in to balance... but...
33,000 miles
New tires - road-forced by Discount Tire (the tires were out of balance, they fixed that... but the vibration is still there)
Truck vibrates on the interstate. It is hardly noticeable until 68mph or so... above 70, it becomes hard to ignore... seat, steering wheel, everything.

^^ umm heavy... but yes... you can't always miss what "jumps" out in front of you... worse things may await an unsettled rock hurtling through space-time.
In other news: I towed my boat with the Gen 2 for the first time today. 4100lbs total weight, 400 on tongue, 3700 on the single trailer...
Oh man, that P-car Tax makes the Raptor Tax feel like we all live in the county! hahahahaaa...
worth it though - 997.2 is on my long-term list. has been for years - just missed the pre-covid window.
I use Tidal - love the Wired Apple CarPlay. Tidal's UI stinks compared to Spotify. It's algorithms are skewed ... not to my taste... and the playlists always, always play the same order... even the "random" button plays the exact same "random" order every time.
With that said, Audio quality...
I do not know. I am willing to pay extra because the Penzoil UP has a tremendous reputation among the wizards of the interweb... particularly in the fuzzy (to me) realm of low-speed detonation.
I may run a short OCI this cycle and send a sample to Blackstone - then run a 5k OCI and send...
2020 Gen 2. 33,300 on the odometer.
Purchased at 30,149 in September... That is also the mileage (by records) of the last oil change (dealer on intake in July).
When I changed the oil yesterday, the oil was... not fresh looking hahahaha... I mean not fresh - and definitely not synthetic...
• Oil & Filter Change. Penzoil Ultra Platiunum and Motorcraft FL-500S filter (Old oil was supposedly changed in July before I bough it... 3,200 miles ago... it was quite dark.)
• Installed Ford Performance Oil Separator/Catch Can
-air filter was clean...
I just installed the FP catch can. - easy-peasy... but DEFINITELY use a pair of pliers to pull the OG cover bolt once the threads are free. Otherwise you'll wonder for 30min whether it is truly captive or not. hahaha... it is not.
I have an appointment at a Discount Tire on Wednesday - specifically to have them Roadforce balanced. I'll pay the $70 for the lifetime balance with them.
Absolutely hilarious... sort-of. Friday afternoon they call me to tell me it's done and they are bringing it to me. About 20min later my phone dings... it's the Ford app.... Tire Pressure issue... sure enough no reading on the right rear tire.
I call the SA and ask if, by chance they mounted...
Thursday Afternoon Update:
1) Most important for fellow Gen 2/3 owners... from page 45 in the Gen 2 Owner's Supplement:
"Note: Uneven tread depth between the front and rear tires may lead to degradation in 4WD engagement and disengagement and all-wheel drive (AWD) performance, additional noise...
Truck is at the dealer. They met me where I was, gave me an F150 to drive and took my truck. They've been great so far, and we'll see what comes of it. They were talking of putting only 1 or 2 tires on it. I did some reading, and with the current set at 7/32 it seems like the 4A drive...
Dealer has been great so far. They are looking into what they can do - waiting on a call-back and they want to come pick it up and deliver it back - leaving me with a loaner.
My only concern with 1 tire... is that the tires are all around 7/32 to 8/32... and a new K02 will be 15/32. With the...
ok - submitted for advice.
I bought the truck 1 month ago - about 2k miles.
In short - I didn't think the tires were balanced well. Dealership was going to take hours, so I paid Discount Tire to do it.
Discount Tire said that my left rear (had been right front) tire was out of round and...
