Will likely have to shave it down a bit to get it to fit. It's really tight, and takes a lot of prying on the fenders but worth it when you're done. Not seen anyone do it yet without shaving on them a bit.
Saying that not all 802a trucks are the same. So saying you got yours for $1000 less as an example may only be due to you not getting everything on the truck that I did. Purely an example.
But illustrates how someone quoting a price they paid is not always all it is cracked up to be. Kinda like...
This is one of the examples as to why sometimes when someone says they got a 802a cheaper it can be for reasons like this. It's missing luxury pkg, has the std wheels, doesnt have carbon pkg, no factory bed liner, etc. All of which add to the end cost quite a bit.
No invoice is invoice for all ford dealers. We all paid the same.
There was incentive pay on occasion based on number goals set by ford, but it never applied to Raptors. But, who knows, weve been out of it 4 years now and that couldve changed since then.
I was a ford dealer the mark up with holdback is about 7000. So unless they made it up somewhere else, they lost $. I have been in the business and still have friends that are. I know what invoice and hold back are and there is not a 9 or 10k pad. That's plain false
The 4000 is made up by offering you 4000+ less than your trade-in is worth. They are hoping for an uneducated or pmt buyer that doesnt know any better.
4000+ of the reduction is tied to a trade-in and is called a trade-in incentive by them. They then give you 4000 less than your trade is worth on your vehicle. And if you dont trade-in the 4000 reduction goes away. If a deal looks too good to be true its bs and this is just that, bs
10000 off would lose them 3000+. So unless they are that desperate to get rid of a raptor, which I find hard to believe, there is some gimmick attached to this offer. Approx. 7000 off gets you to true dealer cost
If you buy a loaded 802a at invoice less hold back youd be at approx $7000 off msrp or 9.7% off. This is how I bought mine except they kept $200 of the hold back so I got approx. 9.3% off.
Would be interesting if they apply to Raptors. When we were a dealer, those incentives never applied to specialty vehicles like raptors, certain limited production mustangs, etc.
Yes.
For example my 802a msrp was right about 72,500. Invoice was close to 67500, holdback was just over 2100. I paid invoice less holdback +200. Or close to 65600. This isnt exact as I dont remember the exact dollars, but is very close, might be off $150.
Point is they made $200 of hold back...
Very common in all ford vehicles with this type of moon roof. I've never been in one that didnt eventually rattle. And having owned a ford dealership for many years before recently getting out, I've been in thousands of the vehicles with the panoramic roofs. Not been in one that didnt eventually...
Also poor idea to buy a premodified truck. This is where dealers kill you. They way over charge for the additions with bogus mark ups on items you could often buy way cheaper or install much better product than they did on you own.
I always pay separately if have any modifications done on my...
