I pretty much agree with everything you said. And the new model of customers ordering the vehicle they want to purchase does allow Ford to control the whole model better. This is the way they want there EV business to be. I’m just not sure they are ready to do this with the ice lineup yet...
Plenty of people have just tuned to get the transmission shifting like it should have. Harsh shifts are all too common in these trucks and so are some mushy 3-4 shifts. Besides there are times when you hit the accelerator the trans just doesn’t shift like you thought it should to the right...
@Shaggy can you go in and look for Coronas truck and put his on the FRF banner for the site at least for a little time in memorial? He’d love it. He’s deserving of it for all he’s done on the site.
I would take a little shot at him with a private msg and say, wow Corona you poured it on rich and really wow’ed that guy with his new truck. You made him feel like he belongs. He would respond back well it must be my Canadian charm! The just really loved North America and like I said he had...
Proof is in the pudding. Specs, numbers are just that. I have seen vehicles blow away other’s of greater spec in the past on the race track. Time will tell who is the performance winner. Numbers are too close to call.
Dang this news is like taking a punch to the gut. I was informed by a local FRF guy and almost couldn’t believe it.
While I only knew @CoronaRaptor from FRF, he seemed like a true stand up guy. One of the Gen 1 guys that have been on the site for years. He was always willing to respond and...
I can see people throwing on 35’s to pick up faster street times. If this truck can run with the TRX on 37’s however, then that’s big. I don’t see TRX guys squeezing on 37’s to go slower. Power to weight ratio goes to the Raptor and they tuned this version of the predator for low to mid TQ as...
Weight is everything. I’m guessing the R will still be significantly lighter than the TRX. The numbers are basically equal, so performance should be greater. You can look at it this way. If the R is faster and does it with 2HP less and 10lbs less tq in a motor that is a litre smaller. Well...
LOL it was what I was expecting based on the Gen 3 release. Just a short vid and not being very descriptive about much. 700HP\640LBS-FT is what we now know from the 5.2 Predator. You can hear SC whine, so it's got that! And it has Fox shocks, either the current models or something new. Late...

Now that’s the current truck! Lol. After having to follow that thread you had that tore up your K02’s on the lava rock and you switching to KM3’s. I wasn’t going to let you get away with tire shine forgery! I don’t think @smurfslayer would allow it. Too many guys actually out there triple...
I have noticed most of this in the times I have used this mode. Very true. Not great for on road unless your actually towing. But more value off road if your in it.
Ford knows Raptor people want to retain 2WD functionality. Ford must know running full time in 4A eats more fuel and increases wear and tear on the front components when there in constant use. Now can Ford really get the R to decently hook up in 2WD? Or do they have to run the truck in full...
The lure of power the bragging rights and those who truly just like to have and use it. The R is hopefully something and Ford has to know in order to keep the R serious about being off road it needs range. Or it’s just another Saturday night special.
I do agree the 3.5 Raptor is still a...
That may hold true, but it very well may not be more of an exclusive to the R. Ford should have held off on the 37’s until the R was released as that would have been more impressive as a first on the R.
