    10R80 issues - P0C29

Thanks @FordTechOne , I literally just finished another (third and final) drain and fill, in attempt to remove the 80k mile fluid thats been in there. Fluid was dead nuts in the center of the B zone, at 207F verified by Cobb AP. Going to reset learning, try the drive cycle, and report back. I...

    10R80 issues - P0C29

Thanks Joe. I’m aware of CDF issues. I think I’m just in denial. these are not valve body symptoms?

    HARD 1-2 shift

It’s a Zroadz bracket, had to modify it. Previous owner had it on his 2018, not sure if they changed the bumper mounting points for 19 but it’s too wide for this bar...

    10R80 issues - P0C29

Changed the pan/filter and refilled at 78k. Fluid was black. Changed it again at about 81k because obviously I didn’t get everything out just by draining and filling. This improved the shifting a lot, but still not perfect and now having new, different issues. Using Valvoline ULV. @FordTechOne...

    10R80 issues - P0C29

@GooseTuned I know it’s in range but I’ve never seen it run that hot just driving around, even driving like that. Going to check fluids tomorrow. Trying to determine valve body vs cdf, haven’t been successful in finding symptoms for valve body failure. I can occasionally hear a loud click on...

    10R80 issues - P0C29

I love this truck. HATE this transmission. When its good, its great, but thats not very often. Used to hang and bang into gear when cold, thats subsided after a couple fluid changes (not flush), but still flares a bit in some gears (2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 9-10 is bad). Lately the most concerning thing...

    HARD 1-2 shift

It was in the proper temp range. Neighbors wonder why I was power braking in the garage. ‍♂️

    B&M transmission dipstick

How about filling, is it big enough to fill thru? It doesn’t really look like it.

    Skid plate - normal?

Didn’t notice this until reinstalling after my PPE trans pan. Is the skid plate supposed to bend in the middle like this or did the previous owner smash it? It’s pretty close to the new deep pan.

    Another IWE thread

Turns out the system is fine. You have to go thru the diff warming drive cycle; don’t turn the truck off, jack up the front and check. Both of mine were fine. Trying to pay closer attention to if I only hear it in the first mile when it’s still cold, or if it’s all the time and there’s something...

    Another IWE thread

Holding vacuum now for the last ten miles. I’m thinking if it was a line it would not hold. Manual vacuum on the iwe works perfect. I’m stumped. Thinking about just doing the lines and actuators, to have a whole new system. I’ve already done the check valve and the solenoid. I’ve lost about...

I hesitate to call it grinding. More like growling from about 7mph to zero.

    Another IWE thread

Should the solenoid be open, pulling vac, in 2wd?

    Another IWE thread

I’ve been unable to investigate beyond the vacuum test, but if it’s holding vacuum, I’d assume the lines are good.

    Another IWE thread

Did that. I have no vacuum in 2wd coming out of the brand new solenoid. I understand that for a couple miles it will remain disengaged, to warm up the front diff, however even when applying manual vacuum with the pump the front axles still turned. That’s where I’m stumped.

    IWE intermittent noise help

I believe the updated part has a blue check valve instead of white.

    Another IWE thread

2019 Raptor - I read a few threads but haven’t found anyone actually manually applying vacuum to the IWE. First time I took the truck offroad it felt like it was pulling a lot to one side (I don’t remember which). I read this could be an IWE issue. I got busy and didn’t get back around to it...

Crazy!? - Drill hole in trans pan

Had to be careful googling “trans fluid”

Crazy!? - Drill hole in trans pan

Well no holes were drilled, but it’s done. What a PITA. So glad this is a one and done thing.

Crazy!? - Drill hole in trans pan

Waiting on my PPE trans pan, going to replace the gasket, filter, filter seal and obviously the pan. In order to keep the mess down I’m strongly considering drilling a 1/4” hole in the factory plastic pan right about where the center of the filter would be. Shouldn’t hurt anything right? ‍♂️

    Hmmm… She’s a little low..

    HARD 1-2 shift

Thank you @FordTechOne ! Not sure why they offered to add trans flush to my last drain and fill. I’ll start with the fluid level. Is this a symptom of low fluid?

    HARD 1-2 shift

I know, dead horse. BUT, I haven’t found anything that’s exactly like what I’m experiencing. 2019 SCREW, 78k miles, Goose TCM. About a month or so ago, started having delay followed by HARD 1-2 shift. Most when cold. At first it went away once the trans temp was about 120, last night did it up...
