This post was on another height related thread-and is troubling. If the R is even a burp taller than it the 37” is shown to be in the post above, I’m toast. I won’t chance it… An inch and a half is just too little for me to trust.
That is certainly one way to attack this. That said, I’ll have at least 3-500 who have taken delivery before me, many on this forum. Rather than wait until delivery day, why wouldn’t I ask someone to measure? Can O’ Corn..
Further, if I don't have enough time or the weather isn't conductive to wash it myself, it does not get washed. Perfection is what I seek, not swirlmarks. To each his own. For those of you that want to play 18 more than this, more power to you. I'll fix something while you are playing 18...
A number of us won’t rest until we have the actual measurement from the plastic boxes on the back of the roof to the floor… I'm not taking a chance with $130K+.
I know you are likely right; I’m just really “particular“. It would be even better if someone with an R could attest that they’ve been in a 7’ parking garage. I can see myself “ducking” (‘cause it helps!) inside the truck as I enter the garage!
I ordered my R as a vehicle that will alternatively be driven with a Cadillac Escalade. I’m not at all worried about my home garage, but have been a bit worried about my office parking garage in downtown Houston. I’m wondering if someone who has taken delivery of an R can take an actual height...
I tend not to even allow the dealer to mess with my vehicles. They can check all the fluids they like as part of the PDI, but no washing, nothing. I immediately take mine to my ceramic coater/PPF installer.
My build week is 2/13. I just got the e-mail from the dealer yesterday afternoon. Again, I'm in no hurry. Many will rememeber that I'd noted (possibly earlier in this thread) that my dealer had 8 allocations, and that I got the last one of them. To this, there was much snarky skepticism that...
I'm giving it just under a year from order date - until about July 4. If I don't have mine by then, I'll get something else. I'm not overly concerned. This is a toy. There are plenty of other toys to be had...
I'm amused at the comments to this thread, though not at all offended. I suppose I don't fit many of the aforementioned descriptions. I'm a 56 y/o male who has met all of his life obligations and likes hot rods of all types. I've never had a spray tan, but have plenty of pre-skin cancer...
Mine is a 3rd vehcile/toy; thus I'm not in too much of a hurry for it. I'm actaully worried it won't fit into my work parking garage, which is 7'... That would minimize my use of it - such that I'd need to switch it out for the order of a Taycan Turbo S...
I'm looking for folks to start receiving them. My order is in, but I'm not sure I'll have it before Memorial Day. Lucklily, this is a 3rd vehicle for us.
I suspect you know that I’m able to perform an internet search. That said, the last thing a 55 y/o Redneck from Texas is going to do is search the “urban dictionary”. You've made my point... I’ll just stay in the old world.
