Im in the same boat now, had ordered a 2022, got rolled to a 2023 and was just notified this morning it was built and expected late April. I honestly never expected to see it. I have a 2019 with full SVC bolt ons, 45k miles. Still seems like going to the '23 is worth the cost.
Looks like Ive been missing all the fun. Ford finally got it torn down last week and discovered no actual damage to the piston, or cylinder walls. Part of the valve was missing and didnt find it in the cylinder, nor the piece of spark plug.
Hard to believe the piece made it through the turbo...
The plugs had never been changed as far as I know, I bought it at 12k miles. They are 100k mile plugs. If there was a misfire before this event, it didnt show in a power loss, vibration nor a CEL.
Quick background, 2019 Raptor with 42k miles. Only mods are suspension and SVC Intercooler. Never tuned, no engine mods.
Climbing a hill on the freeway, heard a noise and the truck started vibrating/shaking badly, flashing check engine light. Limp the short drive home. Pulled all the plugs...
Just passing on the info, the dealer contacted me asking if I was still interested in a new Raptor. Its a 2022 AB 37 package and they are asking $90,490. Bob Wondries Ford 626-727-9072 is the salespersons number. Was available as of yesterday.
Im looking to hire an attorney to make a couple simple phone calls for our company. Id rather give my business to a fellow Raptor owner than a random from the phone book. PM if interested.
For Gen 2 Raptor content, my truck sits too high in the rear with the +4HD Deavers, needs drop shackles...
How are you liking the mid travel vs your setup before? I just dropped my truck off at SVC this week for full suspension short of mid travel with the FRS 3.0's. It was a tough choice to not go full mid travel, and if I end up keeping to over the '22 I have ordered, full travel will be next...
That was for a turbo swap? I just reached out to them, thanks for the heads up.
Im having a bunch of suspension work done at SVC early next month, they dont do them and didnt even have a recommendation. I was referred to RPG by someone on here who had a turbo swap done at RPG, but they said no...
