Ever since he complained about his gen 2 Raptor having "suspension issues" when he had 50 pounds of mud caked on each wheel throwing them out of balance, I knew he was dumber than an actual box of rocks.
I enjoy my Gen 3 much more than my Gen 2 the longer I own it, but that being said I don't see any way to justify upgrading to the '24MY. Nothing really moves the needle for me on it considering the way things are packaged and priced.
How that dual valve "improvement" translates for 95% of owners will be negligible though, I'd wager most people couldn't even tell you they are different after a week of daily driving demo.
It really is crazy, my Tundra Capstone had the same subscription required to use remote start and as soon as I found that out I sold it. Not going to play that game. Like you said, it's a money grab for hardware we've already purchased.
I'm not well versed enough in the 5.0 vs 3.5 nuances, but the cam phasers have been addressed and are no longer an issue to think about just FYI. Believe any 3.5 produced after 8/19 ( or near there) had updated parts.
How do you want to use the truck? If your 2010 is too modded to be a DD then what is the goal for the new truck? If you are looking for a DD then get a Raptor, if you are looking for extreme off-road capability then obviously dumping $60K in suspension/motor mods to a lariat will yield way more...

I get this warning frequently when driving directly into the sunlight at dusk and dawn as well, the UV interferes with the adaptive cruise/pre-collision system.
