Exact same here. I will never have another vehicle without a tinted windshield. I am in the Southwest, and the sun will fry you when driving in that direction. The UV protection in the tint a huge improvement. And I no longer wear sunglasses to drive.
If I had kids at home and it was my daily driver, I would have the crew (assuming it fits in garage). I have the scab - I specifically wanted one when purchasing - because I think the proportions look better and certainly it fits better in the garage.
Based on the last half of that paragraph, you clearly have a different definition of "honesty" than I do. Failing to be up-front, fully disclose, and own the issues, is not "honesty." Perhaps better said, he is less of a slime ball that you were expecting - but far from honest.

It is a very intentional bait and switch scheme. Scumbags. But short of you having a signed purchase agreement, you are probably not in a strong position legally. Doesn't mean you can't carpet-bomb them on social media, yelp, etc.
