More HP is not always better. The engine does have a limit, and it's hard to trust anyone else besides Cobb and Goosetuned with the impeccable track record they have when it comes to safely approaching that limit. I don't want to create a stir, but there is documented evidence on certain youtube...
Okay just completed the install and went for a test drive. WOW does that air temp gauge sink like a stone every time I give her a hard pull!
Install took a little over 2 hours, a huge thank you to @cdiddy4224 for the excellent write up, and especially giving a heads up on the fans going in...
For anyone who did this install…is the fan suppose to be a bit loose when everything is tightened down? I just did the install and put everything back, and everything is nice and tight, including the intercooler itself, but there is some play with the fan, as in the rubber grommets are not snug...
Let's see some measurements with photo please. I can't see how there is that many inches of variations for 37pp raptors off the line. 1/2" okay, but 2"? I'd like to see proof. I took my measurements with the tank half full. With how soft our rear springs are the amount of gas makes a difference...
Being completely serious here, if you want to level your 37pp truck then throw a tonneau cover on. My truck stock with nothing in the bed had a 1.25” rake. After adding a lightweight 70 lb tonneau cover (Bak x4s), my truck was perfectly level at 42” all around from bottom of the fender.
99% of...
I was thinking that too, 3-4 days (I’m assuming business days) of downtime which is basically a week is literally a deal breaker for me, for reasons nothing to do with truck downtime if anyone catches my drift lol. If I could source an inexpensive ecu I would go that route.
I’m curious if any...
Full disclosure I didn't read through the 4 pages as much of it seemed irrelevant to the topic.
1. Steering ratio is a perfect balance IMO of being tight enough to make the truck do with you want, and loose enough to allow control at high speeds in rough terrain. Ford knocked this one out of...
Sorry if this is a silly question, but I don’t see anything plugged into the 7 pin outlet to the left of the license plate. Am I missing something here?
After May build dates if you didn’t order carbon fiber you ended up with the base 800a trim. So depending on the build month, you may see different trucks with different examples. Personally I really like the carbon and am glad I opted for it.
Could you elaborate on that a little more? Is this something I could eyeball accurately? I was under the impression you needed fancy equipment, although I don know there are many offroad shops that do alignment without special equipment but have very experienced mechanics.
That’s a great find! I found a few willing to go over msrp as well, but they never had the best rates. Meaning, they viewed lending that extra amount as a risk that they were willing to take at the cost of a higher APR. Depending on how you want to read between the lines, I interpret that as a...
In the eyes of a bank/credit union, msrp is max your vehicle is worth period. Trust me you are upside down on your LTV as far as loans are concerned. Aside from special incentives few can qualify for, a credit union like NFCU will net you the best rate, but will only offer that rate with money...
Thank you my friend! If history is any indicator the cost for the firmware update will be a good chunk less than the whole device. Great news for folks like me =)
I’ve driven both on and off road. I am no baja champion but I do have an extensive background in driving rally spec sedans. On the street if I close my eyes and think really hard the 37 might be more comfortable.
Don’t listen to the marketing BS on the 35 vs 37 package. Of course Ford is going...
I live in socal with 37pp, haven't met a parking structure I don't fit yet (standard height parking garages here are 6' 8", granted I don't visit that many parking garages. I also cut my factory antenna so it's a little higher than my roof, so if I do get close I'll know.
