Geiser is a fraction the size of eibach and put in a fraction of the effort developing their gen 3 products. They literally took their gen 2 spring and changed a few digits on the serial number and put it up for sale to the gen 3 crowd. Oh yeah and they charge more than eibach because market...
Lol call BS all you want. 8.5 and stock ko2. The good news is if you never plan to rock crawl you will be okay, it’s only under full articulation on one side.
@hyrepower you may get a kick out of this, but when I installed my 1.5” rpg collars (measured .75” preload) I got exactly .75” of lift. My measurements were exact. Interesting huh?
Glad I could help, it's surprising how little these kinds of things are discussed. You have a million page thread on how 37s on a stock 35 truck don't rub and it's simply not true unless you're just driving and doing things in your truck that any other truck could do. I'm considering doing some...
It has been demonstrated in a video (don’t have the link) that 0 offset will tear up your rear fenders when under full articulation on one side. 35s and 37s wouldn’t make a difference.
I just wanted to give the OP a long overdue thank you for this post. You would think a company willing to make a product that required permanent alterations to a truck costing so much would only put the highest quality components and R&D into product.
Thanks for steering me away from this...
I have that kit. Beware the top piece starts popping off after a month or so. I had to epoxy mine shut. Fingers crossed I don't need to open it later. Also the company isn't very responsive.
I would venture to say the more you deviate from stock ride height the worse your truck is going to perform. After loading up my front end with modifications, perch collars got me back close to stock ride height (exact measurement is 3/8 higher than stock). My truck rides so well now I’ve...
If you are implying 1.5 perch collars reduce total travel you are incorrect. As I stated above, my topping out issue is 100% resolved with additional weight in the front. My ride functions as well as stock.
I have 1.5” collars and experienced the annoying topping out and messed up damping. Then I installed an aftermarket intercooler and somewhat heavy lightbar which lowered my front to within .5” of stock height. Now it is perfect and rides as good as stock. Extremely happy.
Thanks for sharing all this!! I am going to install my radio exactly like yours with an Anytone unit paired with their bluetooth mic. The pics are extremely helpful.
I didn’t intend to drag BD through the mud with my statement so hopefully this topic is laid to rest. It’s pretty rare these days for a company to serve the off-roading community only. The market is too small and wouldn’t support alot of the R&D that goes into most products. That being said, I...
Love my LP4’s. The wiring harnesses Baja Designs lights come with are absolute made in china garbage though. Personally I think they should ship these lights without a harness so you can use the savings toward a quality harness or make your own.
Nice video! I wish there was a way to enable the stock DRL configuration in auto headlight mode for the parking lights mode.
*edit* to answer your question, that’s how headlights work. No DRLs until in drive in auto.
My contact at eibach told me in early december that they wouldn’t be available until jan 20 earliest, so it doesn’t seem like eibach ran into any unforseen issues on their side.
Just wanted to provide an answer here for those with a similar question. I ended up looking up torque specs for 18-8 SS bolts, and two different charts recommended 6 ft lbs so that’s what I’ll be going with.
Hi all,
Does anyone know the torque spec for the 1/4-20 bolts that mount the lp4/lp6/lp9 to the brackets? I am permanently mounting the center bolts and was hoping to get clarification if possible on torque specs.
Curius does this work? I think I read in another post somewhere the relay is actually triggered by the fogs? I would have to have my fogs on all the time for this setup to work properly?
