Thanks for that explanation, really helped me out as someone who has no experience tuning. For someone like me who is just looking to get the most out of stock turbos on pump gas, sounds like I won’t have anything to worry about so long as the tuner I go with keep my charge air temps in check...
I find this topic interesting because I’ve heard the same thing iterated in a few threads here. Yet look at what whipple is claiming to be a safe tune. Roughly a peak 30 whp and 80 ft lbs torque, all that extra torque is doing though is allowing you to hit peak hp down around 4.8k rpm. Fine for...
The 3.5 HO engine has forged internals and larger turbos than the run of the mill 3.5. I believe the heads are different too. I can’t speak to any part of the engine being hand assembled, perhaps others know.
*edit* @FordTechOne beat me to the reply, he’s the best resource you’re going to get here.
My order date is 10/12 and my scheduled build day is 4/6, which has been pushed back twice now. I'm starting to agree with you because who knows when Oct orders are going to finish being fulfilled lol.
Sorry can’t help myself but there’s too much misinformation here. Ill be referring to each trim as 35 or 37, respectively.
1. Preload does not reduce travel.
2. The wheel size does not directly affect travel. I.e putting 35 inch tires on a 37 truck does not increase travel.
3. There are four...
The issue is MSRP dealers willing to do business with out-of-towners are booked 50+ customers back for a small handful of allocations for 22. The remaining customers in line are prebooked for 23’s. I’ll repeat what others have said - the brief era of msrp orders is over unless you got an inside...
No way this is a serious post but my order is taking forever and I’m bored so I’ll play.
Forget about a new raptor. Best bet is to look on the used market for what you want. Used 2021’s are selling for 10k+ over original msrp. I have a friend who actually found a dealer with a real allocation...
I’m in the same boat. I kind of don’t want to mess with suspension this time around. Would be really nice to know if 0 offset 8.5 wheels clear fenders under full compression. I mean full compression to the point the bump stops are flattened.
Hey @Rengastarr , these posts got me thinking the last few days, I and started doing more research on this topic of bump stops. For me this is important because I do plan on using every inch of available wheel travel when I get my gen3. My research led me to discover there is actually a...
