I say do it, but there are some issues you should be aware of. Disregard the title of the thread, theres some good info in it from guys who have done it.

Good info. So it seems like it the same model pan thats just re-sealed correctly. I bet its due to 1 guy or machine at the assembly plant....
If mine leaks im buying the pan and re-sealing it myself so I know its done right. 16k miles, fingers crossed.
One reason is so Ford isnt responsible for a bunch of people running thier batteries down. Just go old skool and run your own fused switch off the battery. Preferably lighted so you dont forget about it.
If you’re concerned with chips then do it. Its all luck pretty much but the front will get peppered over time. I had a healthy one on the hood and a cracked window in the first few months or something
