Congrats enjoy the new truck! Keep that wallet handy you're going to need it for the mods:biggrin:
And if something's wrong with the rear end don't let the dealership give you a line of crap. Maybe one of the tires is bad stay on them you paid a lot you deserve good service!
There's only one thing wrong with that carbon fiber hood insert that I can see, if you zoom in and look closely you can see that it would look better on my magnetic Raptor:biggrin:
If you're going for that look, I think it looks pretty cool..
I like the look of the flush mounts as well. Too chicken to cut into my new bumper though!
But I also think the way ford put those two bolts to the left and right of the tow hooks in the back are a perfect place for the S2...
So if you don't want to cut your bumper, there's your solution. I...
Congrats. Sounds like you might have a week or so before you get it, time to get some mods going. Look into Baja lights with Jeff's bezel. That way I'll be ready when it gets to your home to start modding...
Then you're going to need some other stuff as well. Hopefully you're not married...
Try a good quality CD (or make your own) and listen to the system; I think the Sony is fine with CDs; Sat Radio is certainly lacking... Do the CD thing with the BO, and I bet it is fine as a factory system. If not, and you want better, it is only few grand and a stereo shop away:crazy:
Actually, I did have to replace the clips; the old ones worked but were way too loose second time around...BUT these new slightly larger ones WORK GREAT!
If you plan to remove and then replace the front facia, get these clips!
I have a Retrax Powerpro MX. Love it. I like the power because you can stop it anywhere with the push of a button on the fob that you want, and it locks it in place.
As example you can "pinch" a piece of lumber (or anything for that matter, ex-wife, boss, etc.) in the bed against the...
I Made My Choice...No Hard Plastic For Me!
Well after debating on which mudflaps I should go with to protect my truck from the K2's throwing rocks, I made an expensive decision. I went with Gatorbacks!
They are awesome! Yes they're expensive, but they really are nice, no drill, and very...
Well it WAS a blown fuse... funny how the brain after working on stuff in frustration shuts down and the first reaction is complaining...not thinking...
Thanks for the fuse suggestion Jeff... and thank you "bob" for your help as well... :ROFLJest:
Thanks for the assistance Jeff. I will check the fuse tomorrow.
I did check the wiring, as in I pluged the spots into aux 4, and they worked fine, I also hooked them up to Aux 1, same story.
So hopefully it is a fuse. If not I'm going to be pretty bummed, especially if it means a rewire. But...
Pretty sure I didn't blow it but I suppose I could have. It's fuse number 94 to. I'll check it tomorrow I'm done for tonight
Here's how I wired up my aux switches:
AUX 1--OPEN
AUX 2--Onx6 -10 amp light
AUX 3--Spot - 7 amp per pair (Not Working)
AUX 4--Wide-cornering - 7 amp per...
No...I figured since the "switch light" in the cab was on, fuse must be good...
But I will check it for sure. Happen to know off the top of your head which fuse? (before I seek out that funny book in the glove box)
Well I finally got all my lights wired up and the LIGHTS all work great...
BUT, I have discovered that I have what appears to be a BAD AUX 3 switch/wiring...(The switch lights up in the cab, but no power to the violet/orange wire under the hood)
Needless to say, I am NOT a happy camper...
Looks better than the other pictures for sure. Much more contrast with the bumpers and wheel flares.
But of course I am still partial to magnetic!
I never even see my fob, it's always in my pocket.
That being said, if it is available as a programmable for the 17, which it most likely is, if I ever lose the fob I never see, I'll order the new one!
EDIT- It looks like the "new" fob is the same one used for the new Super Duty...
You can check this review that I saw some time ago.
Fast-forward two minute mark 1 minute... looks like a pretty cool install the way he did it. But the one posted above in the bed is pretty cool too

Nice job 4x4!
Please make me up one and send me my new harness in that quality wiring that you just did!! while you're at it you can send me a long wired harness that can be used for my aux switch...
I went back and forth on the Amber's myself. I did it specifically though for fog lights here in the Pacific Northwest which happens in the winter time.
They might be too bright though, but I can aim them down and see when the fog comes LOL.
Either way it's an easy removal of those KC to...
