I have been doing alot of research here on my new to me Gen 1 Raptor. I've found lots of great information to include a great video for the DIY mid perch. Unfortunately, I do not have the tools available and I'd still need an alignment anyways.
I would like to know if there is a reputable shop...
These were $1695 at Discount Tire, with full warranty, mounting, and the military discount. I got the last 4 K02 tires in my area. Wife's tires were 'only' $623.
Got some new tires for the Raptor. BF Goodrich AT K02 315 70R17.
The tires that were on it were the original K0 from the factory. They had some cracks in them from dry rot, but not really too bad. The tread depth was still really good though.
I got new tires for the wife's Mustang also. We...
I am using my Raptor as a daily driver. As soon as I finish the BSN program, I'll be getting it out more and do what they were built for. Just right now, school and working full-time plus mandatory overtime 8hrs week sucked all my free time into oblivion. I drive roughly 10,000-12,000miles a...
I traded in my Cadillac Escalade for my Raptor and it had the GM 6.2L V8 with AWD. It was great in the rain, off road, and even performed phenomenally during our Snowpocalypse last February here in Texas.
I even gave a few people ride home from work the night the ice and snow was at it's worst...
After having this truck for the last month I can definitely say I am more than happy I bought it. It has way more pick up and go than the Escalade I traded in. It is WAY more fun to drive and it rides much better than it too. The seats are just as comfortable though. I plan on keeping this truck...
Prices on the Gen 1 Raptors are insane and I think they are going to continue to go up as time goes on. I paid $60k for my 2014 SVT with 21,000 miles. It was a hard pill to swallow but this was the exact truck I've been looking for since the Raptors came out. Sometimes you just have to nut up.
I just paid $60k for a 2014 Gen 1 SVT with the 6.2L V8 and it only had 21k miles on it. 90k miles would make me pause a bit. I would try and negotiate the price down as much as possible.
Installed a lock box under the left rear seat, did the fuse 27 relocation mod, and installed side window vents. Next on the list is a K&N cold air intake.
I feel like $60k was a reasonable price for a Gen 1 SVT with the 6.2L V8 and extremely low miles. The truck is barely broken in. The previous owner babied this truck, looks like it never saw a dirt road let alone going off road. He probably only drove it to the store and back on the weekends...
Making a profit is a good thing but that isn't really my goal. I have wanted a Raptor since they first came out and couldn't really justify the purchase.
For some reason, the Escalade was riding really rough and I couldn't nail down the issue. Even took it to the dealership to diagnose and...
I ordered the fuse 27 relocation kit and will be getting that done asap. Also got a set of window vents and an underseat lockbox for the driver side rear seat. Next month I'll look into the K&K cold air intake.
In my Escalade I did an interior trim vinyl wrap to cover the atrocious fake wood...
Just looked up the Fuse 21 relocation on You Tube and will check that out ASAP. Already found one to order if the previous owner didn't do that. I really doubt he did anything to this truck other than baby it.
Hello everyone. I just purchased a new to me 2014 Raptor SVT from CarMax. I've been looking for one for the last few years but with the introduction of the 3.5 Ecoboost, I gave up for awhile. I wanted the 6.2L V8 SVT crew cab. Since I would have to get used for that package, low miles was a...
This is a daily driver for me but I usually put less than 1,000 miles a month on it. I'd like to keep it as close to stock as possible and do just a few tasteful upgrades like a K&N Cold Air Intake and an upgraded exhaust. All the the previous owner did was install a really nice roll up tonneau...
A rare deal indeed. My friend that works at CarMax, he was my salesman, told me there were several people that walked in wanting to buy that truck while I had it on hold. I got all of the financing deal done online through my bank and they made the necessary arrangements with CarMax to ensure it...
I guess I got extremely lucky. I just purchased a 2014 SVT with 21,000 miles from CarMax. I paid through the nose though at $60,000 but considering the current market, I guess it wasn't all that terrible. I was able to get a good deal on trade-in value for my 2011 Cadillac Escalade which brought...
Wow, after reading some of these posts, I'm beginning to think I got a decent deal on my Raptor. I bought a 2014 SVT with 21,000 miles on it and paid $60,000. I traded in my 2011 Cadillac Escalade and got $18,200 for it. I was surprised at what they gave me for the Escalade. I figured it would...
