Floor it a few times. Some times ya gotta clear the pipes. Usually its the cat build up in the exhaust. As from my experience. I regularly get on it with all my vehicles and never had the smell. My wife drives like a grandma so I will notice it in her car so I floor it a few times and it goes away
I'd just keep your Gen 1. Nice toy to have and if ya get rid it you may regret not having it to putting smiles on your face driving it. I miss my fox body mustangs. Lesson learned for me, my Gen1 is a keeper
Do you have tail gate extenders? I used to hear a thud on big speed bumps and it was my tail gate extenders not being completely stowed. The pin wasn't all the way engaged

Yeh, one of the few. Compared to how many of these engines made if in a Raptor or a Super Duty, its pretty good odds it may not happen. Also there is No guarantee just changing them to change them mean it won't happen.
If ain't broke don't fix it. I only know of few mishaps of a broken valve spring. And there are thousands of 6.2l engines made. I personally have 187k miles on mine and had zero issues. Now I'm praying I didn't jinx myself but anyways you get the point

Damage on truck doesn't look that bad. All fixable. Im sure the inside is a bit messy due to the airbags. Let us know what the insurance company says. You could ask them not to total it. A guy I work with had his insurance company not total his VW TDI and it worked for him
