I wasn't questioning your expertise i was merely implying the starter on the 3.5 is tasked to less force production vs a massive 7.3 diesel and thus likely to be less if a fail rate. Ive watched my co-worker nuke 2 starters on a 6.7 already in just a couple years.
Keep in mind 38’s only Come in 13.5 so thats a pretty big step up. Idk what the stock rim is but if its 8” thats probably not going to fly. Also def not enough back space. Theres no way those ridge graps are lighter in 38. I could be wrong but highly doubt it.
Since start stop was added the starter is beefed up pretty big time. Does keeping a starter on you cost a lot and take up a lot of space? No. Would I be surprised if it stays in your storage bin for a long time and probably never need to access it off grid? No. That being said its big boy rules...
What tire size are you moving to? Gr going to need to crack into the ecu to calibrate tire size and spedo so you mind as well skip the gearing and go
Stage 2 unless youre going above 37”.
Totally agree, the blue shocks on 17/18’s when properly gassed and with good seals ride like a dream. In some instances I prefer 18’ ride like on the highway. Otherwise it seems like a complete circle jerk with zero gains…
why not skip the internet troubleshooting and take it to the dealer as its under warranty right? Even if someone tells you the remedy are you going to wrench on your 150k truck?
