Yes, you can obtain the VIN from the dealer. Once you have it, check out this link to determine the build date, status, etc. How to Track Ford Factory Car Orders I'm not sure who originally passed along that link, but the thanks goes to someone on this forum.

You can tell once you have a VIN but not by the VOC/DORA.

I think the order # is dealer specific as my 2014 SCAB is Order: F821 Priority: 10

I have a VOC dated 8/20, but no DORA. He stated he would provide notice when the VIN is created and that will provide a better idea of when I could expect delivery. Hopefully it won't be long as I purchased it from a dealer 40 miles from where its built :)
