I'm assuming by "current world" you're referring to the delays and retrofits of these trucks. Ford is still close to being on track of when they hoped to get these trucks out on the road. This situation happens with almost every new unit launch. It's just that the Raptor is a much higher...
This question has been asked countless times already.
Ford IS NOT building as many Raptor as people order.
We were given an allocation at the start of the year. That is ALL we are getting for this year. Current word is next year will be handled THE SAME WAY. I can order as many Raptors as I...
Truck looks great bombsquad68!! Thanks for posting pictures and initial impressions.
From what I can see by pictures these trucks are not coming through with wheel well liners are they?
I saw some preproduction trucks that had them in but it appears the production trucks don't?
Ok so just an update for those watching movement of their trucks during the delivery process.
Our 1st order that showed up as "shipped convoy" yesterday has now shown up at the rail yard. So depending on where your location is your truck could ship convoy, then rail and then convoy again...
The problem is they sometimes ship by both. I'm not sure if they ever show Convoy, then rail and then back to convoy. I've never really watched them that close.
If in deed it's coming convoy the entire way here I can't believe they wouldn't have shipped my truck with it. I guess that would...
Our Raptor that was built 10/14 showed up this morning that it shipped convoy yesterday. My truck that was built 11/26 and also sitting at ramp 59 has not shipped out yet.
Not sure what the manual says but the wires are under the hood in the brake booster area. The 17' Super Duty manual still says they are in the passenger kick panel, but they aren't. They're under the hood also.
I've been checking my dealer locator to see who was getting trucks close to me and they were the closest dealer that showed a truck. I'm in Harrisburg.
No I think that's why it also said delayed.
It's now showing released and awaiting shipment. So I think the retrofit/s are done and it's ready to move. Our first order was built 10/14 and it finally showed up released the same day my truck did.
Just FYI my truck showed "awaiting shipment" but secondary info (which FP didn't tell me about when I checked status with them) was transportation delay. Checked with my Ford rep and she told me it was awaiting retrofit. My truck has shown "released" since 12/17 but doesn't show any movement yet.
I can see that happening. Something else to keep in mind here is that Ford is covering the floor plan when these trucks are delayed and held before the dealer plus they can't count them as sold. So for truck leadership and profit numbers I'm sure they want them moved before the end of the year.
I haven't heard of it but it doesn't mean that's never happened. It's not necessarily true on the Raptors because our 10/14 build truck has been released.
You know I was just thinking about all of the different info and stories that have been told about the Raptor delays. It boggles my mind...
I bet you find out there's no way to fix the exhaust sound. It's a V6 and it won't sound any better.
I bet the aftermarket exhaust systems for these trucks end up quieting them down so you can't here the exhaust and instead you just hear the turbos.
Unfortunately that is a dealer accessible source only. Easily accessed by your salesman. Get his or her e-mail or text contact and ask them to check daily.
I have a list of my retail orders that I check daily for status changes.
They must have released a pile of them over the weekend. I had been checking my vehicle visibility source multiple times a day for our first order and my truck (2nd order). As of Saturday the status hadn't changed. But this morning when I checked both of the trucks were released as of...
