Reviving an old thread I guess. I have a brand new ‘24 R. Had it full ppf wrapped. Picked up the truck and am now getting all those weird electrical gremlins. Key errors and no auto unlock when I’m nearby. I thought maybe was the film somehow but will certainly charge up the battery as others...

Are you with igla? A local installer said it would take a while to get going. And I wasn’t prepared to wait with nothing. Maybe I’ll add that system on top when it comes out. Certainly can’t hurt. I’m just trying to protect the truck. Nothing is 100% and never will be. But anything is better...

The installers have a new way to do things that could stop that or at least make it take a significant amount of time. They installed mine the other day. I saw it too and had that conversation with the installers. There just isn’t anything better at the moment.

I’m from ny and so I know exactly what you’re talking about. Moved here a few years ago with the rest of the ny refugees. So much better off-I would never go back. The only thing here is there aren’t many places to go off-roading like I’m used to. I need to make local friends who know the scene.

Sure. Exactly. I went with the basics at first. Ppf and anti theft. I definitely want upgraded bumpers and a chase rack for aesthetic purposes mostly but also the added lights are great. I’m probably not going to do anything to the engine or suspension at all ever.
