hey guys , so the the half tie rod is better used for the Gen 2 / Gen 3 ?
What about the Gen 1s ? I do have a full tie rod kit from +2 Evil mid travel kit , and I’ve recently blown seals and it was leaking I’m not sure if this is from the strong tie rod ? , saw a lot of videos that the half...
I see , I have the RXT shocks on the rear but have deavers and RPG bumstops as a previous setup .is it required to change to the icons springs and get their bumstops as well ? Or the deavers would net me the same travels as the icons springs with the RXT shocks ?
Sorry for the late reply , haven’t done any off-roading since I’m mostly out of the country , I’m gonna do some reinforcement plating on the front frame bought from evil when I get back . Afterwards I will run the truck and test her out . Will update
Hi guys , sorry this may not be related to the Op topic on icon shocks service . I do have Icon 3.0s on my Gen 1 Raptor and had the evil +2 midtravel kit installed . I was wondering is the icon 3.0s or any Oem replacement 3.0s are the way to go with a bolt on midtravel kits on the Gen 1 ? Or is...
Hey OP , remember my Gen 1 evil midtravel I’ve sent that to you guys ? I have the IWE eliminators since it’s required with the +2 Evil kit . Every now and then I check the boots condition if there is any tear , and I guess the front diff is spinning , some told me that it won’t set any load on...
Hi again , sorry for the late pics of the kit here you go .. I have some rust spots here a there due to the welding required for the limit straps as you can see .
Yes I’m planning on getting bumps upfront I have one in the rear . I also heard that the bump kits upfront might kiss the LCA pads on every bump on the road but I don’t think that’s a problem . Also planning to install the front strengthening plates soon , these came as an option on the kit and...
Here are some additional pics I didn’t have a lot of pics of the suspension upfront . Forget to mention that the truck has 3.0 Icon Zetas front and rear . So the evil gives you the opportunity to have aftermarket Coilovers to work with their kits you just need the right weld washer /...
I have recently installed the evil +2 midtravel kit on my 2014 Gen 1 . It came with Eliminators - and limit straps and DK half shafts plus the tie rods . Haven’t abused it yet but I think it’s a solid kit maybe going neck and neck with the RPG kit in terms of price ?
A guy from Dubai said he had them on his raptor from one of the threads out there and he said it improved ride quality but aggravated the wheel hop while off-roading and it did lowered the rear end a bit .
Are these truly 37s ko2s or they measure lower in diameter ? And also did you trim the fenders etc for that 37 ? Need more information about them please because am going that way of putting 37s and do you have to change driveshaft etc for the raptor ?
