Anyone Cross Shop a Super Duty & Raptor???

Slightly different perspective from me. I have a 2006 F250 SCREW short bed that has been bulletproofed and is in perfect shape. It's only got 125K on the odometer. The 6.0 is a crude motor relative to the new 6.7 but putting that aside, there is such a big difference in overall size and feel...

Ordering raptor out of state strange issue

This thread is fascinating. Figured it would be worth sharing my experience. I purchased a 2018 in October from a dealer in Minnesota - I live here in California. They had almost got burned by a guy who tried to purchase 2 Raptors earlier in the year who intended to ship them to the Middle...

MSRP considered a "Low Bid" by Galpin Ford

I just got this link from another dealer http://www.jeffbelzer.com/new/Ford/2018-Ford-F-150-lakeville-new-prague-mn-741233f10a0e0adf0152956983ade706. It has 1400 miles but added roll top bed cover and some lighting and Berliner. Price of $64K is compelling.

MSRP considered a "Low Bid" by Galpin Ford

Picked up my new Raptor last Monday. Drove it 2000 miles in 2 ½ days. What an awesome vehicle! So pleased with it as a cruiser. Can’t wait to get it out on the Pismo dunes in a few weeks. I detailed it over the weekend - needed it badly. I haven’t had time for many photos. Couldn’t be happier...

MSRP considered a "Low Bid" by Galpin Ford

Metro Ford of Madison will negotiate. I bought from Superior Ford of Plymouth, MN at their advertised price (assuming all goes well on Monday). I can’t tell if prices are settling down permanently or if this is just an effort to flush inventory ahead of 2019. Either way seems like a good time to...

MSRP considered a "Low Bid" by Galpin Ford

Spoke to a dealer today in Wisconsin who said they have been selling at $1K over invoice, but it isn't advertised. For the configuration I was looking at ($72,805) that would be a $4096 discount. I ended up locking in a February blend date ($53005 base price) at $90 over invoice, discount of...

MSRP considered a "Low Bid" by Galpin Ford

You referring to Akins? I spoke to Woody and had a deal worked out with them. $4K is a bit misleading because they have a $600 (or so) doc fee. In the end I passed because I found others that weren't so over-optioned. He actually told me they needed to move these quickly so they could keep...

MSRP considered a "Low Bid" by Galpin Ford

I confirmed all these discounts directly with each dealer. I did come across many with bogus discounts as you have indicated. Note that most of these have pretty old build dates so they have been on lots for quite a while. The biggest incentive is loss of 2019 allocations from what I've been...

MSRP considered a "Low Bid" by Galpin Ford

It's hard to be critical of dealers who charge ADM when there is a large pool of customers willing to pay the premium. Standard supply and demand. If you want to blame anyone it should fall on Ford for not producing enough to match demand. I tried to buy a used Raptor in SoCal with 1400 miles on...

MSRP considered a "Low Bid" by Galpin Ford

In my hunt over the last couple of months here are some dealers discounting: https://www.victoryfordonline.com/new-inventory/index.htm?search=raptor&model=F-150&saveFacetState=true&lastFacetInteracted=...

MSRP considered a "Low Bid" by Galpin Ford

Looks like that was an error. I’ve seen that on vehicles in transit - some discount is applied by automation and it’s based on standard F150 discounts. Dealer told me it’s a pain because they have to catch it and manually change it.

MSRP considered a "Low Bid" by Galpin Ford

Well, I get it. It's a bigger risk for them than me. One week is the most that dealers ware willing to hold a truck. I'm sure when I get back in town mid Sept. there will be lots to choose from. I look for older inventory - MSRP of 53005 or 53100 will be earlier builds. I'm pretty set on white...

MSRP considered a "Low Bid" by Galpin Ford

Are you looking for any particular color and options? I'm in the same situation and have come across many between 3 and 5K off MSRP. Nobody is wiling to hold the truck for me - I'm gone for the next two weeks and can't complete a sale until I get back.

Late August 2018 MSRP or lower thread

Galpin and others like Ken Grody seem to have no problem selling at that premium. I tracked down a 2018 with 2000 miles on it in the South Bay (used) and the dealer wanted above MSRP. Dude traded it in on a Porsche. Too much money to care about paying the premium. Personally, I will be buying...

Late August 2018 MSRP or lower thread

Aikins Ford outside of Atlanta has $4K off on most of their Raptors, but they have about $800 in fees. I've seen individual Raptors with $5700 discounts but I think it's a bait and switch since they tell me they will get a quote and then go dark. North Carolina seems to be a place where...

Late August 2018 MSRP or lower thread

I've been following Gen 2 Raptors for over a year now and I'm surprised at the continued high demand, particularly here in California. For the first time, however, I am seeing discounts to MSRP in some regions. Some are bogus, some come from "demo" with upwards of 6K miles, and some are legit...

Does Anyone actually buy a Raptor at MSRP?

FYI - I contacted dealer in Georgia today to see if the $4K discount was legit and it is. Actually a $3400 discount after you factor in their fees. Still a great deal - other dealers told me to jump on it since they have no plans to discount. There are dynamics involved here that we may not...

GEN 2 Trade in year to year

Not sure about the spread between wholesale and retail, but I just got a trade in quote of $57K for a '18 SCREW (Lead foot) with an original MSRP of $70,500 here in California. The bank lending value of that truck is $66K. It does have 27K miles. If the owner decides to trade it in the dealer...

    Used 2018 Magnetic Raptor

Hi All from a newbie... I've been following the Raptor market for some time from Southern California. I'm surprised at how the markups continue. Then in March I had a colleague from Europe fly to the US for an extended 6 month vacation (wish I could do that). They bought a new Raptor, fully...
