Well, another year, another O2 sensor "failure." At least this time Ford is saying they will replace the wiring harness to see if that fixes this issue for good. It is frustarting to have to keep taking my truck in for this. I appreciate Steve at Hawk Ford (St. Charles IL) going the extra...
They said it was another 02 sensor but a different one this time. I did not get the code from them but will ask when they call me back to come in to replace the part. No mods on the truck and I always buy BP premium gas (they said could be cheap gas). I am getting a little tired of trips to...
10000 miles later (22K total) and the O2 sensor code is back. This will be the 3rd Os sensor we will be replacing if they try to go that route. Anyone have any ideas as far as what we should try next? I am not going to be OK with simply replacing the sensor again. As much as i like the Ford...
Thanks everyone.
-I will probably just have it installed -no free time right now
-It is pretty shattered so cutting out broken part is not really an option
-I am sure insurance would cover but I have 1000 deductible so I am not sure it is worth the claim.
-I will report back with OTD cost
My headlight glass got broken tonight either by someone throwing something at my truck (nice shot man) or a big ass bird. In any case, the headlights still work but the glass (seems like plexiglass) cover is broken. Is it possible to replace just that cover or do I need an entire new assembly? TIA
I asked about the cats and they said they "looked fine" and that there was no way to test them. I don't know if that is true. They also said they inspected the wiring.
Hey guys,
My 2019 Raptor with 11,00 miles is at the dealer with a 3rd check engine light since I have owned it. The code it popped was for an O2 sensor, downstream of the catalytic converter. The first time, the CEL went away on its own after a few days. The second time it stayed on and I...
Another satisfied Recaro guy here. I didn't buy them for the looks, although I don't mind the way they look on my black 2019. I think they are more comfortable than the stock seats. I have back problems (L4/L5) from years of flying Fighters and I think they are the most comfortable seats I...
I have had a lot of back issues in the last 5 years. I find the seats (recaro) to be the most comfortable I have had. I had the expensive sport seats in my BMW 750 and didn't like them as much as these. I think it has as much to do with the more upright seating position as the actual seats...
Thanks for the welcome guys. I am really enjoying this truck! After years of pangs of remorse every time I saw a Raptor, it is nice to finally have the truck I always really wanted.
As for the recaro.....They are very comfortable and have more bolstering than the other seats, as in they fit...
I finally took the plunge and bought a Raptor. 2019 with all the options. The only option I wasn't sure I wanted was the recaros. After sitting in them and seeing them in person I knew I had to have them.
Thanks to all the forum posters who helped inform me on all the in and outs of this...
I went through a similar debate with myself over upgrading from a loaded 2017 Lariat. I am normally a very rational decision maker. In this case all of my logic said the Raptor isn't worth the extra cost.
Then I bought one anyway. In this one part of my life it was a visceral vs logical...
I have a 2017 Lariat that had this issue. I am pretty sure the issue and fix is/was the same as on a Raptor. For me it happened on and off for about a year. The dealer kept insisting they could not duplicate the sound and giving it back to me. After finally diagnosing the issue (thanks to...
