I have a write up here somewhere on the Alcons. If I had to do over again, I would probably go with the Wilwood set and their rear brake pads. That is primarily due to Alcons disgustingly high price of pads and rotor replacements.
Average Joe could get away with just more aggressive brake pads...
Swore back in the day they were actually balanced as an assembly. But hey, I've been out of the game for so long I'd have thought we'd have caught up to the Jetson's by now.
Sometimes getting your due doesn't necessarily feel "right". Absolutely doesn't mean you are not right, but I too have incurred losses when I didn't "have to" per se. By that same token, can't make a practice of it.
