To each their own, but in retrospect, I wish I wouldn’t of attached it to the Upfitter switch, but a separate hidden switch. I tend to inadvertently hit the upfitter every once in a while with sun shades and the like.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the utility of having it. Just would have been...
D-rings... least expensive most utilitarian way to fly. Use mine all the time. Bed liner is not an excuse unless afraid of losing Starbucks points. Hell, razor, peel, looks OE-ish if you even half-ass cut around them well.
Soooooo my Pinon/bearing saga from another thread has turned down this road. After electing to have my transmission filter replaced/fresh fluid while in for the pinion service, I started having whirling noise under initial acceleration. Then under moderate to heavy acceleration 1-2 slam shifts...
...and Ford people past and present wonder why I always refer to them as "$tealerships". Also, I was quoted over $5100 for the repairs before "ESP" picked it up. However, later Ford pass shows less than $3k for this "service".

Was being cheeky as that is the year I have. Also, prefer the look of the Gen 2s and it was the last year. I was serious about how good the scabs look.
2020 Gen 2 with 67k miles and change, no lift, speed dependent whining noise from rear. Sad to say little off road, pulled a 4000lb boat a few times.
Pulled diff fluid. Nothing notable in appearance, nor smell (non-burnt fluid). No water, nor unusual metal on plug, but some "specks" in...
