Ok… so they were a different color on the R… i did not know that. I’ve got a 2019 and have ordered a 24 37PP. Was hoping for the darker… not likely, eh?
Does anyone know what the current OEM Ford offering is for the hard cover option? Seems like it used to be one of the Bak-Flip models essentially with a Ford decal. Just curious if they’ve switched it up?
lol… i did think they looked darker but i couldn’t get close enough to know with 100% certainty. On the white or lighter colors… they appeared dark. That said… it wasn’t like they completely disappeared on the black ones. And i was driving while trying to look. On Miller road i was able to...
Trying to help y’all with some hope… I’ll share a little Raptor Reconnaissance i conducted today. i had to be in Troy, MI for a long weekend. Had some time to kill today… so i took my wife to Dearborn for lunch. Afterwards, went and drove the perimeter of the truck plant… Sadly, the wife...
I’ve been hoping as well… I’ll be blacking them out if i ever get my white one. Watched that video several times… still look gray or a version of it to me. Sadly.
Yeah I think there are quite a few 802’s that people have VINs and scheduled build dates… I believe there are also R’s out there with VINs and likely with build dates too. I’ve not actually heard of anyone getting scheduled past March yet….
That does make sense… and in the case of the dealer orders they do get the VIN assigned as well. In fact, i like to keep an eye on how those seem to be progressing as they are publicly visible…. Pretty much as soon as the VIN gets assigned, they automatically flow through most dealer sites and...
For the record… i wasn’t attacking. Was just surprised you didn’t have a VIN. I’m sure the other guy was coming from the same place. I would guess.., to your point… that you likely have a VIN and perhaps they just didn’t bother to communicate it to you yet.
I hear ya man… i have connection to the Dearborn truck plant where they are made. Have had contact with engineering and operations as well as the commercial side…. Zero info available without a VIN. Scheduling is who I need to find, lol. Others have suggested there has been turnover and they...
Now I’m really confused… first I’ve EVER heard of someone getting a build week/date without a VIN… still trying to figure this goofy process out! Thanks!
Received a message from dealer i presume? Did you already have an VIN or was it part of that message? Also.., curious which dealer… I’m in your area… still awaiting my VIN.
4 is good but i believe has to come from a regional rep… meaning the dealer likely contacted them when placing the order. Standard retail priorities from a dealer are 10-19. Reps can do 1-9. I think. Mine originally went in at 19… and the fear contacted the rep and got me a 6.
I think it’s saying they’ve placed your order to Ford… and that happens to be a good priority. But you are now waiting for Ford to actually schedule it. And until then, you really will not get any updates in the way of a VIN number. And until you get a VIN assigned… you’ll not get a blend...
I’m gonna have to likely get a daily beater at some point… some parking is just not raptor conducive. How’d you like the Braptor compared to, well, a real Raptor?
Don’t know if this makes me want to hug you or shank you, lol. That’s pretty much what I want. I didn’t get my order in till right before Xmas. Actually got the COVP confirmation letter few days later but dated 12/25. For the life of me… i cannot figure out or get a straight answer how the...
Similar here… no rush… but excited at the same time. Want to start ordering crap for it… but i don’t have a VIN or build date, etc. so my confidence in getting it anytime in the spring is low. I too have a 2019. It was my first and hands down the best And most fun vehicle I’ve had. Still...
Regarding your COVP letter… i don’t think they mean much at all. I think it is just a way for the dealer to verify to Ford that there is an actual customer on the order and that it’s not just a dealer order. In fact, read the sentence a few lines down on your letter… “DISCLAIMER: Approved...
