Turns out my sales guy either was misinformed or lied to me about my build week of 8/16. I called FP today to verify and it's ordered but not scheduled.
Exactly, look at how many on this site are looking to find a dealer willing to sell at MSRP. The only work the deal needs to do is to answer the phone. This site represents a small percentage of buyers for the truck.
If Ford was that concerned about "eco-friendly", they wouldn't be building 15 MPG Raptors, Mustang GT 350s & 500s, or many of their other large vehicles.
You're right, there are a limited number of 37s. That's why only about 30% of the allocations were for 37s. Your order may not be the first or second out the door, but you will get a 2021 with 37s if your dealer had a 37 allocation to sell.
I'm heading up to Breckenridge, CO in August. Does anyone have any suggestions on Raptor friendly trails in that general area?
I am trying to avoid any damage on the trip because I'll be trading in the 2018 on a 2021 right about the time I get home.
I ordered on June 16, I didn't even realize that is when the order banks opened. My order has a priority 21 and last week I was told that I have an August 16 build week.
I made a slow decision on deciding on the '21 Raptor, now I am very impatiently awaiting it's arrival. I am sure it will...
After reading this thread, I'm craving Arby's for lunch with the curly fries. Unfortunately, I washed my truck this morning and now it's raining, so I don't want to leave the garage.
These first world problems can be overwhelming.
I just use Griot's interior detailer on my interior every week or two and it still looks new.
I did use ceramic on my windshield. It's like a much better version of Rain-X that lasts for a very long time. I did re-do the windshield after 2 years, but the side glass on moonroof are still in...
I only coated exterior. For the door jambs and painted surfaces on the inside of the door, I used a paint sealant. I did the same with everything under the hood. Much less prep and still had great results.
These have been out for several years, the $100k option has much less power than the Raptor, the $110k option has the power. I've seen one locally in the past year.
Once you're past the polishing, the finish line is in site. It takes less than 10 minutes for the hood, that's the biggest panel. The longest part is getting all of the plastic and glass coated, but the painted surfaces are quick and easy. The prep work is what takes time.
Then again, when I...
The dealer I ordered from is likely out of allocations. I was the 2nd of the 3 they have.
For my last one, I actually found it on the lot at Leif Johnson in Austin, but they wanted $7500 over sticker for it. College Station Ford had several on the lot, but not what I wanted and traded for the...
If your nearby dealership won't give you paperwork to sign, I wouldn't trust them. There are threads on here about dealers backing out on deals. If your local dealer will sign an agreement and you put down a deposit great, if not go with the dealer 45 minutes away. If they are taking a...
I took my time. To clean the truck inside and out and do the full detail with ceramic coating took about 16 hours. Good prep is the key. Also, keep your hands off the truck after you do the alcohol wipe down. Also, don't touch the truck while you're coating. If you know where to look on my...
There are 3100 Ford dealers in the US. Thousands of F150s releasing is only a few per dealer. That's not anywhere close to meeting demand.
Sales were way down in the first half of the year and they still sold over 360,000 F150s.
I'm hoping that I get my 2021 and few dealer stock orders reach the lots so I can trade/sell my Gen 2 for more than I paid for it. That'll be a small check to write to have a paid off new Raptor.
Two out of three. I want my truck and I don't want the value of my current truck dropping.
I do see the continuing chip shortage as a benefit to the value of the current truck, I just hope my truck gets produced in time to take full advantage of it.
I do not have a second vehicle anymore...
