Hey @Big Blue That looks great! I am looking at the BuildRight racks for my next truck and will have a Bak F1 cover. How do you like the BuildRight mounts and how they interface with your cover?
Also what tire mount are you using?
Sorry what I mean is when opening the hood does the XL80 clear the actually antenna.
Most hood mounts do shake a little on the rough stuff and that shake comes form the bracket height and design. The hood on my Gen1 shakes more then the bracket does on washboard trails because they are...
Do these mounts have more shake then the style that mounts to the hood bolts on the frame / lower hood bolts??
Also is there any interference with the radio ant. and the XL80?
Whats with the paper covering the person in the photos?? Witness protection program???? Good feedback and yes there are times the drivers experience can not make up for the conditions.
Both sides of my 2011 Screw are about to to replaced at about $3,500 a side. I am out of the factory body warranty currently at 7+ years and 123,000 miles. Lots of body shops won’t work on it because they don’t do rust repair, even though it’s pannel replacement.
This is a normal issue for...
I have a Pro eagle and a HPA systems air jack and both are nice but I really like the HPA better for the trail.
We got a nice coating of Freezing sleet and some rain last night so all I did to the old truck today was chip the frozen mess of of it!!
When unplugging the black plug on the trailer brake module do you still see the Auto Stop Start light/icon come on when you come to a stop like the CanOpener?
What about that same light/icon operation on the Autostop Eliminator?
I did not really look at the other options but Miller off-road ( I think that the right name) looked very nice but a similar price. I know Tom at GJ so I had to buy his. There are other ways to mount rear ambers at much lower prices but this one was very inteagrated and very bright.
I think that Nokkian is the only true snow tire in the size we need. I use the Blizzak on my Golf and our Outback and last time I looked they did not make our size or a close enough one to work.
The LT2 would be my choice for winter only tire
The Duratrac Load range D is a great tire, I ran them for 5 years they are a All Terrain tire that has the winter mountain snow flake symbol. They work very well in all conditions year round but the side wall is thiner then the KO2 and can puncture if you are to sideways in harsher desert or...
I installed my GJ motorsports Third brake light yesterday and it is very cool. I did amber S2 sports on the outside and a clear S2 Pro center. I did the reverse harness set up and it was top quality. I had some interaction with Tom (GJ) and Keith (LVJ) and they were great wot work with, Highly...
I had my rear window replaced on my Ford ESP. They did not want to do it because they said it did not cover glass, but the glass was not the issue it was the defrost element so I pushed and got it covered. I had a 50/50 chance so I really pushed them, maybe the squeaky wheel got the grease that...
Kahuna, This is a very interesting idea! Once a year I have always striped the wax/sealant with a aggressive wash soap and the clayed. I may try this more often.
As for the salt issue a good power sprayer once a week for the body and undercarriage makes me feel better but in the long run I...
