Not for me. I want to sit up up higher, have tow mirrors, massaging seats, and I like a larger vehicle - it intimidates other drivers more. Less idiots cut you off in a SD. Sure I could get an F150 King Ranch, jack it up, and get that stuff, but why buy a loaded F150 which is about the same...
I'll pass. I had one in my '17 F250, maintenance costs way higher and I don't do any heavy hauling or towing to justify it. DEF was a pain also - if I were keeping one, I would delete that BS.
Thanks. I went ahead and added the Adaptive Cruise Control, so that pushed it up to $76,140. I'm used to it in the Raptor. And the dealer gave me more for my Raptor than I paid for it. I guess used ones are really hot right now.
There seems to be a lot of variance on the treadwear of the OEM KO2s. I bought my 2018 used with 15K on the clock, and the OEM tires were basically shot at that point. I drove another 3K on them, then replaced them with the Yokohama MTs, which are awesome in every way except noise. They were...
I have the Yokohama MTs, and they are great in everything I've tried, but like the above poster said, they get loud as they age. Mine are wearing well, have better traction than anything else I've run, but with 35K on them are flat out loud. Yoko does make a new AT called the X-AT that might...
LOL, they were rated highly then as well. I haven't found those ratings to be very accurate. Once I got my brand new Fx4 stuck in the sand on Carolina Beach (where I'd driven many times with other tires with no problem) while being laughed at by old beater jeeps, those tires immediately came...
I had the Pirellis as an OEM tire on a 2014 Fx4 - they are garbage. Horrible in anything but dry pavement, worst tire in sand I've ever had, and I've had a lot of AT, Hybrid, and MT tires on my 8 Ford trucks going back to 2000. I ended up taking them off at 17K mi they were so bad. The should...
That is very nice, and I would be ordering one just like it (except with 7.3) if I could get the massaging seats on the Lariat. I was hoping the F-150 would be a package (like on SD), so that I could add it on to a King Ranch. I, too, don't want chrome, but I want towing mirrors and massaging...
Yep, the problems I had with mine (2017) were myriad, but not drivedrain related. Here's what I remember:
1. Doors seals were so bad on passenger side, it sounded like the window was down - had to be replaced.
2. Moonroof stopped working.
3. Sync/GPS went out several times requiring hard...
I had a 2017 Diesel F-250. I don't do any heavy towing, and I would never get a diesel again just to drive around in. Too expensive, and the maintenance was several times more expensive. Not to mention the DEF BS. I would, however get a Gas Tremor with the 7.3. My diesel F-250 got no better...
I've been thinking of it also - miss the tow mirrors, and want the massaging seats. No diesel though - too expensive and maintenance costs were 4x as high - unless you can justify it for heavy towing frequently.
While I enjoy the power of the Raptor, if I can get the tow mirrors and massaging seats on the Tremor, I'm going to jump ship. I can always get a "tune" for more power. I may even consider an F-250 Tremor with the 7.3.
I've had Ridge Grapplers, then KM3s, and now Yokohama Geolander G003s, and the Yoko MTs are the best I've had. I will be getting another set when these wear out. I have 25K on them, and they don't look half worn in 35x12.5x17. You will get stuck with the RG in soupy mud - they are basically...
Forget the hybrids and get a set of real off-road tires. I'm running Yokohama Geolander G003s, and they are the best tire I've ever run off-road, even better than the BFG KM3s IMO, and quieter.
I'm not sure which block they used at Southern Off Road Specilities. I didn't notice any degradation in ride quality. Yes, 1" over stock. The truck still had a small amount of rake. There are pics of it on this site if you search my earlier posts.
