    We do pay LA. taxes when we buy out of state. I bought my used Gen 1 in Dallas, and my wife's used Lexus in Birmingham, AL. We pay taxes at the time of registration for our plates and are charged current taxes at that time. Fortunately, I live outside city limits and save 2.5% on major purchases.

    I wished I had known this. Last year on my way to Gulf Shores, AL, the coolest I could get from my a/c vents was 70 degrees. It was cooler than outside and was bearable with it blowing directly on us. Brought it to my mechanic back home whom I trust and he changed the blend actuator (about $50)...
