My understanding is the reason you have to reinstall the old radio to pair the new phone has to do with using the ford pass app. If you're not using the ford pass app then you don't need the old radio.
My shop has been in business since '91 and I don't recall anyone ever approaching us about getting paid to report to carfax. We don't regardless because it's none of our business.
Truck rode great before the springs. I've read multiple times now that the factory shocks are super soft. I guess my expectations were too high but the overall handling of the truck is so much better, I've accepted it as an acceptable trade off. The truck is in on road comfort on the shocks...
I called the dealership beginning of November, they said 6800 were on back-order and that the manufacturer had released 47 the week before. I don't like my dealership but they said they'd cover it under warranty that expired end of June.
Insurance dictates where the parts come from. If you want something different then you'll have to pay the price difference. You can't expect the shop to consume those differences.
LED bulbs don't belong in a halogen housing. However you I can see by your photo you have the factory LED headlights and those are chips built into the headlight, not bulbs. So, you cannot replace the bulbs. You would have to change the whole housing.
Suspension wise I've only changed the shocks and leaf springs, tire pressure is the same as before, roughly 36psi. Shocks are on the softest setting in the pro menu, I have not had a chance to try the other modes yet.
The truck rides stiff, I feel every bump and crack in the road. I’ve already checked with SDi and they said as long as the shocks read 0 then they are on the softest setting. I don’t know if it’s a programming issue on SDI’s end because they don’t calculate ride height just pitch and yaw, or if...
It kinda rides like a 1 ton now, haven't had a chance to off-road it yet. If I had to do it again, for no more than I off-road it, I wouldn't. The Deaver's are quite nice. I had those on for about a week before the live valves and they made a huge difference.
I am happy with mine, it has it's quirks though. The first one I got was defective but the company was super helpful with trouble shooting everything. There is a thread about it on here as well.
I had a tune on my truck but removed it prior to taking it in for repairs, I assume they reflashed it when they did the cam phasers but never said anything. I kinda think you should find a different dealer.
