Those of you who have done the software update and have a tune installed and/or pedal commander, do you set everything back to stock before taking it in for this software update?
I just read this article explaining a recall that might affect you. Affecting over 1.48 million trucks, this recall states that a faulty powertrain control module may shift your truck into first gear at a random time. Depending on how fast you are going could greatly impact the severity of your...
I was going to say we should include preload adjustments too when talking about this. I am running about 10 threads over the ring, so I think you are a little higher than me.
Thanks for the details on your adjustments, I will give those a try next time I am out.
Hey Rick, you are reading it correctly. That is the way I have been running it offroad and I felt it performed well zeroed out on the front. I didn't think it was a bouncy ride that way, it soaked up the jumps and whoops very nicely and didn't bottom out. I just added 37" tires so I don't have...
I created this doc so I could remember the settings.

Is this what you were looking for?
I am interested in trying to take the rear pipe off my Corsa sport exhaust and replace it with a short turndown. I was wondering if anybody has tried this yet and if so:
What kind of difference did you hear in the exhaust note?
Was there any noticed drone after the swap?
Thanks!
I questioned that too... I then thought OP just meant he expected 100+ rwhp on top of what the stock output was. I was just guessing though. But right, surely not 1000 rwhp haha.
@CJ Pony Parts hasn't responded since November 26, 2018. It doesn't seem like he is keeping an eye on the forum.
I went ahead and purchased the Ford Performance Differential Cover from them without the coupon. The site took my $220 and I didn't hear anything from them after that. After 3 weeks...
The one I chose was a H3R Performance Halguard HG250B. They are expensive (~$150) but they don't interfere with electronics, they won't damage any surfaces on the truck, and it is rechargeable. It is a solid choice if you choose to fork over the money.
I used a Drake fire extinguisher mount. To get it to stay put, I cut a piece of steel flat bar 1/4" x 1 1/4" to a length where I could match it up with the screw holes on the Drake mount. I drilled matching holes and sandwiched the bedside rack between the two.
The Rotopax needed some extra...
Good to know! Thanks for the knowledge. I may go with adding the hi-lift to mine; I have some hi-lift specific mounts I can add to the bedside racks.
Here is my setup currently...
@TigerRaptor have you jumped your truck or hit any hard whoops with that setup? I have been hesitant mounting my hi-lift jack to the bedside racks because I think it weighs too much and wouldn't handle the abuse of offroading.
Mounting the ARB aircompressor to the rear rack was a clever idea...
Does this mean if I have a Onx6 40" High Power Driving/Combo LED Light Bar, that I can replace 10" sections in it with the lasers? If so can you point me to any documentation on how this is done?
Or does this just mean buy our new laser light? :)
I have been procrastinating on this project for about 30K miles. I dug into it this past weekend, thanks to this thread acting as a reminder.
The directions don't say to do this, but I found it helpful and though it worth sharing...
I unbolted the aluminum carriage that the fusebox clicks into...
It had all the hardware required for the upgrade.
Some things to note:
They ask you to use Red Loctite on the bolt to attach the new clevis. So you will want to have that on hand.
They ask you to use anti-seize on the hiem joints, so you will want to have that on hand too.
You also need a 5/8...
