Replaced very anemic factory 168 incandescent front sidemarker bulb with Diode Dynamics HP3 LEDs. I went with the 56 lumen warm white solution because the factory bulb looked warmish when out of the light assembly. The result is somewhere between half again and twice as bright as the factory...
As long as you have dropped the pan you might consider replacing it with an aftermarket pan that has a for real actual physical drain plug. The mess that results from draining the transmission by carefully loosening the pan bolts is worthy of many unpleasant cuss words that may get you...
SVT decal from the good folks at nicedecal.com. It occurred to me that there is nothing very obvious in the cab that indicates that a GEN1 is the product of the Special Vehicle Team. This takes care of that. The Nice Decal folks were kind enough to make a decal that is considerably smaller...
I swapped out the four factory 3057K stop/tail bulbs for more modern 4057LL bulbs. Result is considerably brighter stop light and turn signal intensity and doubled the bulb life. The newer 4057LL design is also more vibration and heat resistant.
I also swapped out the factory front 3157NA...
So the above two changes did the following:
- Improved stop light intensity and contrast with tail light intensity.
- Improved front and rear turn signal intensity.
- Doubled the expected lifespan of the bulbs involved.
- Avoided unintended consequences of LEDs - hyperflash, reflector...

3157NA was Ford factory bulb for the 2011 Raptor. NA designation...
For those who don't mind the factory light assemblies but would entertain an improvement to brake light intensity and double the life of the stop/tail bulbs. Replacing the stock 3057K bulbs for the updated 4057LL bulbs makes a world of difference in the intensity of the stop lights. No...
Oh, you sneaky Texan! You shouldn't do that to us! :)
Have you tried applying Armor All to the seat and the console? That stuff is mighty slippery and might just do the trick.
I had a similar problem, a couple years back. I have a trailer hitch brake light plugged into the trailer electrical socket, and the problem turned out to be dust contamination inside the electrical socket. A blast of compressed air solved the problem. Be on the lookout for possible dust/dirt...

It HAS to be. Except for nuclear powered submarines and aircraft carriers, the entire Department of Defense as well as the Coast Guard runs on fossil fuels.
I live in the Nevada high desert 180 miles from Twin Falls, 258 miles from Boise, 244 miles from Salt Lake City, 304 miles from Reno, and 437 miles from Las Vegas.
So NO. EVs aren't ready for primetime in the rural US.
However, one of the race vehicles in last year's Dakar Rally was an EV with...
I was on the road day before yesterday pulling a 5x8 U-Haul trailer roughly 300 miles on I-80 across northern Nevada. I kept the cruise control on 65 mph due to 100 degree temperatures. And the odd thing that caught my attention was the same white Tesla passed me four times at 80+ mph. I...
A shock tower brace for the GEN1 Raptor looks like a challenging engineering problem to me. The shock towers are deep in the engine compartment, with the top of the shock towers on the same level with the lower bank of spark plugs. The vertical rise from the top of the shock tower to clear the...
In the interest of preventing this sort of damage, I have seen aftermarket parts for other makes/models that bolt to the top of the shock towers and bridge over the engine to link and brace them. I have not seen such a product for Raptors, though. I am not sure that there is sufficient room...
