GEN 1 High Angle Cv Axles

Yeah ypurs are definitely different than mine, I have the version where the spring seat is not threaded. The part that hits is the base flange, I'm going to machine it down at an angle when I change my springs out here in a few weeks.

GEN 1 High Angle Cv Axles

I Reused the original o ring. I did have some top out issues with the CAS ...but my g2 shocks have the internal spacer reduced to a 3/8" one from the oem 1".

    Anyone rebuild King Bumps?

The Best way is for you to measure the amount of fluid you remove if you want to get them to operate the same as before you rebuild them. If you add more fluid and less nitrogen the bump with have a softer ramp up to max pressure. Example 200cc fluid 50cc compressed camber for nitrogen If...

GEN 1 A Long Story About a Short Link

I feel like I am more impressed with your document than the links themselves! Nice work on both.

    Rear up travel.

It would appear he is sprung under Also the shock looks to be on a trailing link which explains the travel. But, also its probably no more uptravel that what im doing as he still has the frame in place. Actually seems like kinda a good price... Also just a wee bit more progress:

    Rear up travel.

Well. It rained all day so the fab work stopped, how ever I did get a few things going. Installing leafs in the rain is not ideal: Then got it moved to the garage, pretty loud with open pipes And got some of the welding done, but I wanted to add a few tubes fornthe bump support. maybe next...

    Rear up travel.

Got a few more data points, Axle Plunge looks good to me, but I've never actually pulled the axle out to see what im working with: This is with the rear end at what I measured as "stock bump" : This is at the new full bump: Axle to frame clearance: Deaver negitive arch with a 8.5"...

    Rear up travel.

They are not easy to tune. These have a baseline tune from the shop that was their best guess. Then I have one free tune, to get it closer... then it's on me. I've never had these before but I am looking forward to working on them. But that will be later first I have to figure out how leaf...

2012 Raptor 6R80 larger fluid pan

I was wondering if you think it would sit above a skid plate if a plate went from the trans mount to the aft front suspension cosmember under the engine

    Rear up travel.

I am not sure on the measurements... I should measure that. As far as longer shackles go... I am experimenting as a matter of fact! I got some 8.5" ones (just experimenting) I am thinking I will have 19", for one the bump will be .5" lower with the pads reinstalled on the bump stops and with...

    Rear up travel.

If you are talking about the rear axle lower shock mount, here are .dxf files. You can get them cut locally or from a service like send cut send. https://sendcutsend.com/ you will need 2ea for internal gussets and 4 sides, so it will be 8 pieces total. measurements are in inches. (designed for...

    Rear up travel.

Okay, it may seem like I am not making much progress. And that's is true. Buttt I have the new bump stop set up all design out (in my head) and the frame reinforcement plates almost ready for installation. ... the bed will have to come off for installation. Also I was able to cycle the...

    Gen2 swap onto gen1 complete

I got the axles from rock auto I also did a post on them here: https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/high-angle-cv-axles.100515/ I am thing about trying the camburg uca

    Gen2 swap onto gen1 complete

Ah Trakmotive that's what I ment! As far as an uca, you do not want an rpg one, they only have a 1" uniball and they are mounted on plane with the inboard pivots. For the amount of droop you will have with those shocks and without raising the shock bucket up, there are no uppers that will...

    Gen2 swap onto gen1 complete

So I agree that the gen 2 shocks are better than the gen 1. I think you may find that you have less usable travel now with your configuration. Because the 2g shock longer when fully compressed vs a fully compressed 1g shock you will have less uptravel. For droop you are no longer limited...
