Skip the heim ends, unless you plan on pulling them and servicing regularly. These WILL get dust in them and wear out, (they are a wear part anyway, but this is race car stuff) your much better off with traditional bushed style end, go poly if you want the rigidity. Also they will be noisy...
36 gallons of fuel @6.3 lbs = 226 lbs. The tank is mounted somewhat in the middle of the truck. If the weight is distributed evenly front/back thats 113 lbs. Stock spring rate is 550lbs per inch, so you would see about .2 of an inch of compression on a full tank (assuming the truck was balanced...
Don't guess and throw the parts shotgun at it, that's a waste of money and can only lead to a lighter wallet and frustration with the truck. Diagnosing your problem over the internet with some pictures and a brief description is just guessing... do it properly.
Jack up one corner, try to rock...
Mudflaps may be a better solution. You really don't want anything in the airstream of the brakes, the brakes on these overheat easily as is.
It seems really unlikely that rust is from your rotors, unless your running a super aggressive brake pad. It's more likely fall out or industrial...
Autolite claims those are gapped at 0.051" from the factory https://www.autolite.com/parts-finder/APP5363/contact-us I am not sure how you got a set that was that far off.
FYI a set of feeler gauges have a whole mess of uses, including this and can be had for under $5...
No reason to go through all that madness. Thread a set of hex drive inserts into the back side of the mounting surface before you do final assembly, they won't pull through. Then you just use machine screws to install the sub.
$500 for the four shocks? Fox can do my rebuilds in the future. That's $360 less than what forged charged me. I also only got $120 back on my "deposit".
I've actually seen this, engine pulled enough vacuum to distort the filter, that intake tract was still clean. You have a leak.
None of the aftermarket solutions are going to provide finer filtration, stock seems to be the best deal off road.
I haven't had good experience with Kooks. Stainless works American made would be my choice for the ~$200 price difference.
If it is too loud have a stock style resonator installed.
I am all about the Motorcraft stuff, I know that those hoses are still going to be on the truck in 20 years, I know they are going to fit with no finegelling. The silicon stuff? Looks nice, not as sure about the longevity... You would think if they can make a 50 year bathtub caulk they should be...
Ok.
Offset is how far from the centerline of the wheel they mount to the "WMS" - wheel mounting surface (brake rotor in the case of these trucks) + offset means the wheel face is further from the center line, so the wheel will stick out less. So how far a wheel sticks out from the face of the...
I really enjoy the Whipple noise. Only there when you are on it. Having ridden in a Roush truck it was nearly silent. There is a different feel between the two because of the noise. It seems like the Roush guys have a little trouble with their cooling, just because of where the HE is mounted. I...
